  1. Don't know about ON1 but Affinity is nice software. Not so easy in the start but with the help of lots of YouTube video's everyone can learn it. And the results are fine IMO.
  2. Interesting to read and accompagnied with nice photo's. Compliments!
  3. Nice idea, to use the X-Pro1 as a " training camera".
  4. Thanks for your advice (Fuji option 1) but for now I simply don't need Luminar. Not that happy with their filters too but YMMV . . . For now I really like the Fuji JPEG's. If they need some changes Apple Photo's is fine for me. I shoot RAW and JPEG so if something goes terrible wrong my escape is the RAW file. For that I use mostly Picktorial and sometimes Affinity. BTW Rumors says that in the next update Photo's is updated too . . . . Good light! Jos
  5. http://www.miguelboto.com/affinity/photo/video-tutorials/ Hope this might be of any help.
  6. Don't use Luminar anymore . . . . I saw you mentioned in your article the lack of lensdistortion control. For me that was and still is a big downer. If you sell it as a rawconverter and you don't even have the possibility to change it by hand, than it's useless. Why? Because Fuji make some in camera changes and even these are not or not good recognised by Luminar. They have promised to work on it and it might be in their autumn update. So my advice would be to wait and use something else, or simply use the filters, if you like them . . . Let's be fair, even Mac Photo's does a better job on rawconverting
  7. Interesting, because that's just what still is missing in MacPhun Luminar. Might be time for a change . . . .
  8. What sort of paint did you use and will it hold long time?
  9. Nice photo's and your Flickr site is wurth a visit . . . .
  10. I was thinking of buying the Fuji 50mm but decided for the 60mm. Why, because the 60mm has the option for macro, something I've never done before and I was not sure I'm going to like it. It's a kind of " Free " option in the 60 mm lens. Did do some research on the internet and spoke with some photographers and try the lenses. That made me help to decide and as you already know the 60mm was my choice. So my advice is " Try before you buy". Did use it for portrait and street (Carnaval) and I like the use and the outcome. So now I'm thinking should I buy the 35mm f/2 or the f/1.4 ? No hurry because I have the 27mm (my most used lens).
  11. I don't like the look of the lens, don't like it's missing aperture ring, but it's my most used lens by far! Why? The output is great, the lens is small and I have a third party lenshood, just for the looks. Together with the X-Pro1 it's a big WOW!
  12. I've just installed the home brewed Classic Chrome profile you did in Picktorial and I like it!. What app or program do you need to make such a profile? And is it possible to make a profile Homebrewed Acros? Just curiosity but why did it not work out with the Sony?
  13. Sorry, but I disagree. Macphun made nice filters but isn't that good in converting Fuji's RAW files. Try it with the 18mm and you will see that the lens corrections given by Fuji are not seen by Luminar. Macphun knows about this failure, and promised last year they will fix it. Still no changes. There is also no other possibility to change it.So for Fuji Raw converting there are, for sure, better choices.

  16. Between a X-Pro2 and X-T2 it's easy ... definitely X-Pro2 for me. But the reality is that my X-Pro1 is still pretty capable. And I don't care for the bigger file sizes (more computer power needed) of the 24MP cameras Every time I'm tempted to buy the X-Pro2, which happens fewer than before, I take my X-Pro1 and take some photo's. I really don't need the X-Pro2 for my photo's. So for me tit's still too expensive. Maybe I wait for the X-Pro3 . . . The only thing I sometimes miss is a tilt screen. As days go by it's getting more difficult to kneel down and a tilt screen would come in handy . . .
  17. That's a nice site you have . . . .Compliments!

  19. If you like to take photos with the 18mm from Fuji, Luminar is useless. The distortion is more as terrible. I wrote them about that, they recognize that, told me that they're working on it but in the last update it's as bad as it was. And believe me, it's bad! I suggested them they should mention this failure on their website. They react with that they recognized my point, and didn't do it! So for now it's bye bye for Macphun Luminar . . . .
  20. Hope you like it! Seems like a nice camera to me! I'm a X-pro1 user, but I'm sure there will be more XT-20 users on this platform.
  21. That's what I'm hoping for and still saving . . . .. .
