  3. New wireless option for Metz. http://www.metz-mecatech.de/en/lighting/flash-units/accessories/wireless-trigger-wt-1-kit.html
  4. Thanks for this information about the Metz. I'm waiting for reviews or more feedback like yours before deciding.
  5. Thanks George for sharing your experience. What kind of diffuser are you using with mk320. I was considering fstoppers flash disc or a Gary Fong accessory, but I'm not sure. I don't have much experience with flashes.. I currently have 2 small umbrellas and one 24" soft box but I'm looking for something I can pack easily, and i also need to consider that the meike doesn't have the power of bigger ones. Sebastien
  6. Hi, Long term speaking, I will probably get 2 Cactus RF-60 with Cactus trigger to build an easy to use and portable studio kit, but now, I'm searching for a compact TTL flash that I would bring with me almost everytime, combined with the ultra compact FlashQ triggers for off camera situation. I almost ordered the Meike MK-320 this week, but I noticed that the head can't turn 180 degres.... something I like, especially to be able to bounce the light where I want when using on camera flash. I know some people are using this flash on this forum....do you see an issue with this? I was also looking at Nissin i40, but since we can't do firmware update by our own, it's more subject to stop working (I mean some features) when Fuji is realsing a new body or new firmware. Also, I'm in Canada and it seems difficult to find support for this brand....and it's about 400$ CAD...not cheap. Finally, there is also the upcoming Metz M400 that looks promising. It will cost about the same as the Nissin, but at least, we can do firmware update, and they mention that it will support HSS for Fuji... Is there any other option I'm missing? Which one would you buy? At less than 100$ CAD, the Meike sounds like a no brainer compact and light flash, but if I don't like it, it's worth nothing... Note: I own a X-T1 and plans to update to X-T2 this winter... Thanks

  9. Amazing shots Hendrik! I really need to play more with film situations and setings because I really like the color/rendering of your images.

  12. Hi Fuji users! Here are a couple of shots taken in a beautiful region from Quebec Canada. It's the first time I post pictures on this forum (which I really like!). It was also the first time for me to travel/hike since my move to Fuji. I really like the X-T1.
  13. I'm also new to Fuji and I'm coming from Nikon. On my X-T1, I searched that option and didn't find it yet.
  14. First, it must be announced
  15. Hi, I understand how the ES shutter is working and why the rolling effect happens. However, it seems that Fuji doesn't officially provide how much time the process is taking to read all lines of pixels. I found this article http://janssico.com/2014/12/x100ts-electronic-shutter-speed-analysis/ where it says that the processing is taking about 1/15 second, which is really long! Even for shooting portrait, this is too slow. So I'm wondering if this fact is true...and from your experience, are you able to get good sharp results with ES shutter? (I'm still new to Fuji). Thanks
  16. Thanks for your answers
  17. Hi, Do you turn off the OIS when doing a panning with the 55-200? On my old Nikon 70-300VR, I had two modes for VR; one made for panning. I'm planning to shoot my father with its motorcycle, but I have not a lot of experience with panning photography. Thanks, Sebastien
  18. Personnally, I don't care about media. But as a company, if you are about to launch a new hot product, you only wish that your product will get the attention so that people can speak more about your product.
  19. I also think that X-T2 will be announced at Photokina. But there are many rumors that Canikon will also introduce more serious mirrorless there. If that's true, any other product like X-T2 will be almost ignored by different media, unless the X-T2 has real innovations inside.
  20. I've always heard that Fuji is using a different ISO standard than Nikon/Canon. Basically their ISO 200 is about the same as Nikon/Canon ISO 100, which means you will get about the same exposure. It's the same reason you can't compare Nikon 6400 ISO with Fuji 6400 ISO... it's more fair to compare with Fuji 12800 ISO. Maybe someone can confirm what I'm saying..
  21. I'm using Lightroom which uses the same raw processing engine. Under the calibration panel, you can choose a profile. By default, LR selects Adobe Standard; try to select another profile. Not sure if the opiton name is the same under bridge but I guess you should find something similar. http://www.hongweitang.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/camera_calibration_panel.png With my Nikon, every raw was looking under exposed with bad contrast with Adobe Standard. I don't have enough experience with Fuji yet to see if the behavior is the same, but with this option, you should find all your camera film simulations. The result will not be exactly the same as a jpg coming straight from your camera, but it's a better start than Adobe Standard. EDIT: I jsut noticed that the same solution was already given by sandrogsp
  22. Really nice pictures!
  23. Thanks for this tip!
  24. So far, I'm really happy with the X-T1 design and controls. Love the fact that you can access the menu while shooting with the EVF really quickly. The AF assist button is great. I only did a few test shots. I can't wait to find a real subject to shoot this weekend to see how it performs in reality. But I think I will like the EVF better than an OVF. It's great to see the histogram before taking the shot. The only thing I noticed is that the tripod mount is not aligned with the middle of the lens, which I can't understand. I used to have a carry speed mount plate always installed on my Nikon body, but now the plate goes on the battery door. Also, I would need to install the plate on the reverse position (strap attachment behind the camera instead of beside the lens). Anyway..not something dramatic.. I will install the plate only when I need to use my strap or use the tripod.
