  1. Hi, I'm a X-Tx user but I really love this X-S10 for 1) IBIS 2) deep grip 3) compact body 4) unlabelled dials (I never use ISO and speed dials anyway on my X-Tx as I prefer front/back dials). In fact, if that camera shape and layout existed few years ago, I would have bought this one rather than a X-Tx. I can live with smaller EVF but I'm not sure about weather sealing. The X-S10 seems pretty well built for its class, but as my main camera that I use anywhere (outdoors activities, travel), would you consider this a big issue? Let's be honest, I'm shooting in light rain or snow just a few times a year. Sometimes it can be cold in winter, but the X-S10 is still rated to work at -10 Celcius. What do you think? I always had weather sealed cameras but not always using weather sealed lenses. I'm wondering if it's a real issue or no. Thanks
  2. I love this lens :) Ciel étoilé de la Jacques-Cartier by Sebastien Girard, sur Flickr
  3. Thank you for all that information, it's really interesting and all the comparisons you made between the new Enhance Details feature is helpful.
  4. Hi James, What are your parameters in X-Transformer? I used X-Transformer a bit before, but only for some images having really fine details. But always used default params.. In past 2-3 months, I tried ON1 Photo Raw to get rid of LR, but finally decided to stay on LR for now, as ON1 is not yet mature enough, and I'm too comfortable using LR modules. But I'd like to review my workflow to get the best of my X-T3 files. Do you think it's an issue deleting the RAF file, if I decide to switch from LR to something else in the future? Does the DNG contains all Fujifilm information like their built-in lens correction? Thanks
  5. Thanks for your comments. Always interesting know the 'minimalist kit that other people are using.
  6. This is a kit I was also thinking...but in addition of the 35 f2. This kit would weights a little more but would gives everything I need. I will wait for full test of 15-45, even if I think like you...but just to make sure I won't regret any purhase Anyway... I will not buy the 10-24 at its full price (1300$ in Canada). I will wait for next Fuji rebates in my country. But with that post, I think I confirmed that the 18-55 is a lense that I can't sell... its the most versatile lense.
  7. I agree. It's difficult to leave this lense at home... But I might buy the 10-24 because I love ultra wide lenses (and 18mm is the 2nd top focal length for the 18-55...which is a sign that I would have probably used an even more wide FL).
  8. Thanks for your comment. It's good that you talk about close-up filter, because I was really tempted to get one (JJC combo kit). This makes this lense even more versatile.
  9. I currently have these lenses Samyang 12mm 35mm f2 18-55mm 55-200mm I do a lot of hiking, and I can't bring all lenses. I bring almost only 2 lenses with me. So I leave my 12mm because while it's fairly light, it takes some space and it's not a versatile lense. But I'd like my 18-55 to be more wide. I'm thinking buying the 10-24. The question is: Would you sell the 18-55? Would you replace it by another compact prime (50 f2 or 60 f2.4)? I will keep the Samyang for night landscapes only. I'm also curious to see the new 15-45 but since it's the cheapest lense, I don't have high expectations about IQ.
  10. I think the smaller size is possible because of the power zoom. Power zoom dones't make sense on higher end lenses.
  11. Hi, I'd like to know what are the best settings for latest version of X-Transformer with latest version of LR. - raw process - sharpening (do you turn off LR sharpeing?) - etc Do you apply extra sharpening in LR after? And also, do you have different settings based on photography type (portrait, landscape, wildlife)? Thanks
  12. I'm interested into that feature but we don't have enough information yet to get excited. I would like that this feature creates a DNG or TIFF to pursue development in LR or any other software.
  13. I think you are missing the best: Godox setup. Cheap, work well, updatable and have plenty of flash models.
  14. Update: I will have a 56 1.2R I'll have to find a good setup to change lenses quickly. To answer your questions, as I said nothing will be traditional. It's more an opportunity to celebrate their love with nothing complicated, with friends and family. They won't have a classic cake, but a table with an assortment of mini desserts. Thanks for your feedback and continue to share ideas, they are more than welcome.
  15. There is a store that has some Fuji lenses for rental. Available lenses are: 18 f2 35 f1.4 56 f1.2r 60 f2.4 Sure the 56 would be an amazing lense, but would you be affraid of changing lenses many times. Also I thought it would be too long as the place is small, but from you comments I think I will reserve it. I will call the to see if they could rent a X-T20.
  16. Hi, My uncle asked me to shoot its wedding, which is next week. It's not a traditional wedding: no church, no big reception room. The place is a small bistro in Montreal, with some tables outside (hopefully the weather will be good). The event starts at 17h45 and there will be about 50 people. Some pictures of the place: https://goo.gl/C5x9Sg https://goo.gl/PFh9Vr https://goo.gl/UKTgbA https://goo.gl/YqAAxr https://goo.gl/pZH3MV I'm more than happy to accept that challenge, but as I landscape and nature photographer at first, some tips would be appreciated. I have many wedding ebook and videos that I plan to look at. Equipment: As you can see in my signature, my current gear is limited for that kind of event and portrait. Unfortunately, there is no place I can rent a 16-55 f2.8. I think that my flash will be used a lot. From that list, you can add a Godox TT350F flash, a pair of FlashQ trigger, some smalll softbox, 2 circular reflector/diffuser and a couple more flash accessories and umbrellas (I had a more complete flash setup with Nikon before, but not yet with Fuji). So, I don't have specific questions yet, but I'd like to have your input on my gear and if you can share some tips it would be nice. Thanks
  17. A beautiful and accessible national park near Quebec city. 3rd visit there.
  18. Hi, I would like to do more videos with my X-T2 (4K or FHD 60fps), so I need to replace my old basic class 10 Transcend SD cards. I have already read a few posts about best cards, but I'm wondering if a UHS-II 250Mb/s card would be overkill for my needs. I have to say that I don't do extreme burst mode photography. I don't care of being able to shoot a 11 fps for one minute! Do you think those cards could give me enough performance? https://goo.gl/w48yYp https://goo.gl/mSsg5A Thanks
  19. Nice. Mine has arrived to Canada last night. I should receive it by 3-5 business days. Hopefully the wireless trigger will follow really soon.

  21. 25meg is the average size of a compressed raw from X-T2. I guess the output from the converter tool is not compressed. That would explain the difference. With my x-t1, the DNG was also higher in size, but not that much.
