  1. Love it. Looks strangely like Rome because of the building in the foreground, then not when your eye is lead further into the frame - must visit!
  2. That's gorgeous.
  3. Sorry, posted before I'd edited - Thein, that's just awesome, lovely photo.
  4. Dream Fuji camera wishes? I have a few for different scenarios- - Absolute first priority is 100% perfect de-mosaicing/ sharpening of X-Trans in Lightroom/ACR. If this can't be done then just use the next generation of APS-C sensor so we can get the most out of the excellent X-series bodies/lenses. - Medium Format camera with square sensor, ONLY IF it can be made as compact and lightweight, and same form factor as as, say, a Mamiya 6 rangefinder, including the lenses. - Just a better sensor in the cameras we already have- a bit more resolution, but much more dynamic range and bit depth. - ISIS would be fab, and Sony and Oly have this now, it does make a difference.
  5. I love the 35mm f/1.4, it's one of those lenses that just had a little 'magic'. The 23mm f/1.4 is also a stunning lens, so you really are deciding between which focal length you prefer more to start with. I personally prefer a fast 50mm equivalent (i.e. the 35mm) as the lens which stays attached most of the time, only coming off when I have a specific need for other angles, or effects, but that's a very personal thing. It also changed over time for me. In my film days I used to use a 35mm as my standard lens, then found I cropped a lot to roughly a 50mm FOV anyway, so tried a 50mm and preferred the depth compression to 35mm anyway. I always end up owning both as they both have their place, but nowadays I buy the 50mm equivalent first.
  6. Is that new? Yeah. Why is it different to the other ones? It makes you look even more beautiful, darling. So it was expensive, then? You know, it's sad to be so cynical - here's me, only thinking of you, cuz you always complain about how you don't like yourself in photos! How much? OK, well this was supposed to be a surprise, but the *real* reason I bought it is because I'm taking you to Rome and I wanted to be able to capture all the angles. We're going to Rome?! Uh...
  7. I prefer the real X-T10, the taller top makes it more distinctive and actually looks quite elegant and a bit more retro to my eye.
  8. I was only this morning comparing demosaicing differences between LR and Irident, trying all sorts of parameters in LR for the image at hand (a landscape with finely detailed grass, foliage and berries, I don't actually find this to be much of an issue oersonally on portraits or urban cityscapes, etc.). No such fiddling required in Irident as it looked better straight away, and got even sharper with some small tweaks. No matter what I try, including 100% detail method, or any other I've come across, I still can't get over the slight smudging or waxiness in certain types of texture in LR. I now have to try and incorporate Irident, or C1 into my Lightroom workflow somehow (because I prefer LR in practically every other way and my whole catalogue resides there). Now that really is wearisome.
