  1. life is too short for all this (at least for me it is)
  2. I’ll pass if you don’t mind then, thank you very much
  3. seriously, I understand the fact that the camera operation is very much more complex than it originally was, but one can install the first version of the software (I think) and disregard all the subsequent Kaizen
  4. and what would be the way? You forgot to say
  5. no one has to install the new software... it is not compulsory
  6. it all depends what you do with your camera. If landscape is what you shoot it makes not too MUCH sense to buy the latest camera, but then again, you could do very well with an X-M1 then and save lots of money. If you shoot moving subjects , do some macro in autofocus or shoot in dim light it certainly does makes sense to buy the newest Fuji. Different strokes.
  7. No, I don’t add things, I am no longer a adolescent, but I don’t think that blocking brands on the many things that I use is an act of maturity. Thinking that you would make a statement in this way is... , oh well...! Never mind.
  8. why? Fuji doesn’t need your "advertising “ to be famous and thieves steal cameras and don’t have the time to read which is which. Do you take the badge off with the name of your car too?
  9. it really is all in the definition of “ High Quality “print and until one doesn’t define that with an objective criterium the maximum size of that might greatly vary.
  10. this is a first! I have seen ( and cringed at it) people blocking by means of gaffer tape or coloring in the Fuji logo... . Putting the logo of another, defunct, brand ( which might still belong to Kyocera ) on a contemporary camera by another maker is a first.
  11. It hasn’t yet happened to me but if you say it does it will. If more than one person is crying wolf then there might be a wolf for real. Kaizen seems to be another word for “ before we have entirely developed the software for a camera, we sell you the hardware and then provide it with all the things that the market is requiring or which we have discovered that we could put in it while we developed other things...if something appears to be wrong, we will have the time to change it" And so, my guess is that firmware 5.0 isn’t all that far
  12. maybe, if this turn out to be a common occurrence we all need to do that.......
  13. I would advise against home made solutions and to let Fuji do their thing
  14. Non c’è di che.., don’t mention it!
  15. I have bought two M&L and I am happy http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00HU7LM3K/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF&pf_rd_s=desktop-1&pf_rd_r=11XRPRB21JHCFEJRYXVR&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=585296347&pf_rd_i=desktop
  16. Qui! http://www.kamera-express.nl/product/12206099/fujifilm-x-pro1-xf-18mm-f-2-0-xf-27mm-f-2-8-lc-xpro1-luxe-lederen-tas/ o Qui! http://shop.fujifilm.co.uk/fujifilm-x-pro1.html this is a more expensive kit with 18, 35 and 60,, http://it.mydigitaland.com/fujifilm-x-pro1-kit-18mm-35mm-60mm.html
  17. if you want a rangefinder, then get the X pro 1 and be happy. Because is yesterday’s camera It’s cheap now and bound to be even cheaper soon. I can buy one with a 18mm and 27mm for ( and all kind of accessories and a 5 year guarantee...) for €899.
  18. The XE-2 is the same price as the X-T10 minus all the new software of the X-T10
  19. the X pro 1 didn’t get updated with the last firmware but it is still usable... at least it is like when it first came out. Back then some were happy about it some weren’t all that happy. Yet, you can buy a X-T10 body now for €699 and you could get a kit with a good lens for not much more. A lot more for a lot less. It will give you a camera that is a lot newer and will stay a lot newer than any older X Pro 1.
  20. I suppose the best is to accept the camera as is. If one wants something else there are easy options. Things then to be as they are and rarely they are as we think they should be.
  21. Nice size ( my guess is that they are 50 x 60>70cm?) but, that is not what I would qualify under my definition of “ large prints” , these are decent size prints which will be used in a home environment. A large print, to me is something way above even 70cm x 100 cm ( which is about the largest size used in an home environment) and the X trans files should be able to deliver.
  22. this is certainly a concern and given the amount of complaints from different people all over the world this cannot be dismissed as a local issue linked to misuse caused by one person
  23. I marvel at how good this camera is especially with portraits, using a capability that is absent on the X-T1 ( but present as one of the 58 presets the X-T10!) to shoot 2 or 3 pictures when in SP portrait mode and fusing them together, one sharp and two others (or one, depending on the situation) not sharp to increase the blurred portion of a picture. Very nice!
  24. I have tried only a few shots with the 50-230 at 230mm they were all well focussed. Different strokes for different people! Good luck!
  25. my short experience with AF tracking, using all the proper settings for it, is very good indeed, I suggest you retry by using those settings
