Fuji XF 27mm for 254€ on Ebay UK, cheapest?
Patrick FR replied to quentingiroud's topic in Fuji X Lenses
If it can help... I use https://www.slidoo.com/ to search for good prices. Clean interface, very intuitive. You can set the slider to "Europe" and quickly search for all XF 27mm available on ebay in Europe, setting your own parameters (price / Condition / location). I use it a lot to find the best deals -
WOW... once more the samples show the stunning IQ of the 90mm. Do you still have it for testing? In case feel free to share more samples. But please just share samples that are out of focus and taken at ISO 51,200... this could help to calm my GAS

you're right... it's not so that just because Beyoncé has an X100S, this means it is also a great camera. My comment about "there must be something right with the Fuji's" was more related to Annie Leibovitz and Ara Güler, who own a Fuji. Sure, it doesn't proove that the Fuji's are great cameras. It just shows that 2 of the worlds most popular photographers like to shoot with it, hence "there must be somthing right with the Fuji's"

photozone just published its review... they say you buy magic with money and the bokeh is as smooth as silk. They therefore recommend it over the regular 56mmF1.2 (which they say is already a great lens btw). http://www.fujirumors.com/you-buy-magic-for-money-bokeh-is-mostly-as-smooth-as-silk-56mmapd-review-at-photozone-save-125-on-it/

I will make outing now: I always considered weather sealing more as a gimmick. First, becuase I usually don't shoot under the rain, and second becuase even in case of rain, I was always pretty confident that my camera can handle it (as you can see in the image). I don't know if in the long term there could be any damage, but for sure my X-E2 worked perfectly until the day I jumped into a river with it (turned on!) in order to save my life (story here). I say this, because one of the key differences between the X-T1 and X-T10 is weather sealing. So feel free to tell us what you think about weather sealing... is it something you absolutely need, a nice to have feature but no deal-breaker, or is weather sealing something that does not influence your buying decision at all? Long story short: is the lack of weather sealing on the X-T10 a deal-breaker for you?

Artists, Musicians, Photographers, Scientists, Sportsmen, Princes, Directors... the X-series is getting popular also amongst Celebrieties. Here is a selection of "famous X-shooters".... and if you spot someone else, feel free to add him/her in this thread. btw, there must be something right with the Fuji's, if even Ara Güler and Annie Leibovitz own one Beyoncé / Annie Leibovitz / David Beckham / Ara Güler / Prince Harry / Brandon Boyd / Jane Goodall / Morgan Spurlock /

For X-shooters running Andorid on the Smartphone... with ver. 5.1 all the connectivity problems with Fujifilm Apps seem to be fixed (source - fujistas) I have an iPhone, but I experienced connectivity problems several times, when I tried to transfer images on an Android device of friends or fellow travellers I met during my journey through Cambodia. Can you confirm that it works flawlessly?

Hi Nero. Thanks for joining the Forum and sharing your pics. I was just about about to get the 10-24 too, but went for the Samyang 12mm instead. But the 10-24 remains my secret wish... one day there will be price drops also in my country.

Hi MacModus... and thanks for joining. Nice set of images. Nr. 4, the chilly monkey, is my favorite. That XC lens is pretty damn sharp

All Great shots... my favorite is the 2nd shot in the 2nd series

If there is one thing I really don't like, then it's death. Really, I hate it, and I promise it to all of you, that dying will be for sure the last thing I'll do in my life !

A source, who was right in the past (SRP), just gave me an update about the previously rumored super fast F1.0 lens. The source said that it is true: Fujifilm is considering to make a super fast lens (at the moment planed as XF 33mmF1.0). The bad part of this rumor: it’s not a final decision of Fujifilm… plans for such a lens could still be dropped. http://www.fujirumors.com/fuji-really-has-plans-for-a-super-fast-xf-33mmf1-0-srp-poll-should-fuji-go-ahead-and-make-it/

We talked about the comeback of Meyer-Optik Görlitz back in February. Now we have additional information about the Trioplan 100mmF2.8: It will ship in December and cost €1,400 The lens is said to have a very smooth “soap bubble” bokeh. http://www.fujirumors.com/soap-bubble-bokeh-trioplan-f28100mm-of-meyer-optik-gorlitz-for-fuji-x-coming-in-december-for-e1400/

Fujinon glass is the ultimate GAS trigger... a perpetual temptation for X-shooters (damn you Fuji!) I guess many of us will often have to face the situation, where we have to convince our partner (who is not into photography) that it just makes sense to invest a lot of money into the latest & greatest Fujinon glass. So I thought it could be useful (and fun) to share our strategy, arguments and tips about how to persuade our partner and avoid conflicts (ergo: divorce). One day, this could become a very useful thread for all of us

It could be... my soul and eyes were still sleeping while I was out with my dog. And thanks a lot for the AF / MF tip.... let me drink a coffee first, and then I'm out of here again and I'll use it as you recommended

First day of relatively good weather since I bought the Samyang 12mm. My first impression is that it's not that sharp as I was hoping. Maybe I'm simply spoiled by the amazing sharpness of the Fujinons But I need more time to test it. If the weather is fine, this afternoon I'll thoroughly test it. This is just a quick random shot taken during my daily morning walk with my dog.
