I was experimented with my Samyang 12mm. It was a full moon and I do not live in a dark place, unfortunately. I was able to get the Milky Way if you look close and I was amazed how bright it was outside with the full moon. I was just practicing for later this month, when I will be in a dark spot to take better photos of the MW. Quality isn't too great, had to really dummy it down to get to 1000kB. 😁

The best? Who knows? But this method ain’t bad either Hope it’s useful. Recently I’m mostly a jpeg user. When I’m not sure which filmsim I shoot RAW and develop it in Fuji’s X-Raw.1 point

If you already have the 50mm and need longer reach, I can’t say enough great things about the viltrox 75mm f1.2. Inexpensive in general (549USD), and given how extremely sharp it is from corner to corner even at 1.2, it’s a steal. It’s outstanding.1 point -
