love your photos. It is interesting how Cuba became the top Destinations. I'm also going to visit this October for a month, before Americans ruin it.

I'm planning to buy Xpro 2 (jumping from Nikon) I wonder how many batteries did you have with you? Did you have any recharging problems? can you give me any tips I should take with me.

Do you know where did you get poisoned? Water or food? How long did you travel? Have more questions but lets start with this ;)

thank you again for fantastic photos.

  • 2 weeks later...

Melv and ewm19

Thanks for your kind comments

I'll try and answer questions as they come up

Batteries I normally take 6 but these are split between 3 cameras

No prob recharging Cuba has electricity:)

I suspect I had some bad food that did me in

I was there for 3 weeks which I think was plenty !

Tips ..... Take a bottle of hot sauce and some salt

The food is so bland !

My process .....

I do very little to a pic

The exposure is everything and watching for the right light

A bit of contrast adjustment and some dodge and burn where needed

I have many years shooting transparency and I think a lot of that technique applies to good digital photography

I'm planning a photo workshop in Cuba next Feb so watch out for info

    • Thats strange - I have the same camera and latest version of X Raw Studio (1.28.0.2) and it works as expected (using a Mac). Have you tried looking again at the old raw files that you viewed in the past and were working? That way you know its not something specific about these new files. There was a problem with the previous version of X Raw Studio and the latest release of the Mac operating system but that seems to have been fixed.
    • Hi all, It is my first post here. First, I'm not sure if this is a silly issue, but I couldn't find any help online, so I thought I'd ask here in case anyone knows how to solve it. Sorry if this seems trivial or simple to correct. I had no problems before and was using the software just fine for more than a year. However, it suddenly started not recognising my files (?). As you can see, I select the folder where I transferred my files from the SD card, and nothing shows. The camera is connected and updated. I'm using the latest version of X Raw Studio as well. I tried deleting all the photos from the folder and transferring them again directly from the SD card, but nothing has changed. Has anyone experienced this before? Any tips on what I might be doing wrong and how to fix it? I uploaded two images to show you what is happening.  Thanks!
