Hi, have managed to get a grip of most of the settings by trial and error. The manual is poor with regard to info and it's a shame that there is not a good book to guide you through the camera. Have found the jpgs excellent and the camera has some good features. Love the macro settings and have managed to get some good photos. This camera is a joy to use once you get to grips with it. Would be nice to hear from other members with their experiences using the camera.

there are several threads on this camera and if you use the local search engine you can easily find them ( And there is even a dedicated section to X10/20/30!).

Aslo if you call the thread X30 many would overlook the fact that you are asking for opinions and experiences.

You can download a complete manual in pdf format from the Fujifilm website.  Although not perfect, it has LOTS more info than the basic printed manual that comes with the camera.

I gnashed my teeth for quite some time before purchasing the X30, since I had an X100S and X-T1 with three great prime lenses.  But I sure am glad I did, before it was discontinued.

It goes everywhere, especially on hikes and other nature-based outings.  My neck and shoulders are glad not to be toting more weight, and the zoom lens is incredibly sharp.  The colors are also wonderful.   I only wish it covered 24mm to 135mm equivalents.

I am continually impressed by the IQ from such a small sensor.
