slow storing when in S mode

If I shoot a single image with the dial set to S, I get a message saying "storing" and a delay of 2 or 3 seconds before the viewfinder shows the image. If the dual is in CL or CH it is instantaneous.   All other settings are the same. Anyone tell me why?

The delay is a result of having a “Clarity” setting engaged.  Turn Clarity off and there will be no delay.

Man,  Thanks for the advice!!!!   I had at Clarity at +1, in my C1 setting.  I took clarity to zero and what a difference it made!
