NIK EF EX PRO

I am considering buying this software as a plug in through my copy of Photoshop.  Once downloaded, is it immediately available through PS, or must something be done to position it so that it can be accessed when in PS?  Thanks for any help.

Good option to work on skin for people who only own Lightroom. Lightroom is mediocre at best for skin work. This greatly increases your possibilities.

Can it be used stand alone for raw conversion?

 

I have very limited choices for processing RAF files from the X70. (Windows7)

For RAW conversion you could use Fuji's free RFC converter, creating a 16 bit TIF. Then you could apply the NIK effects.

Having had the wisdom NOT to upgrade to El Capitan I can still convert in Aperture and applyi the NIK effects as a part of it, I haven’t found much improvement with other software over this.

My X70 came with no software and the Silkypix2 software will not recognize the files.

Silkypix offers nothing free for the X70 files.
