Fuji XF 50mm f2 rattles

The lens makes a rattling sound when shaken gently, sounds like a loose element. No image stabilisation so no idea what it could be. Is this normal?

i don't have the 50mm f/2 but I do have the 23 and 35mm f/2 ;ens. I believe they are all made on the same frame. My two lens do not rattle at all when shaken. You probably do have a loose element.

Thanks! Bought it second hand from MPB, advertised 'Like New'. Sending back tomorrow, gonna pick up a new one from Amazon. Also hoping to add the 23 to the collection soon.

Hi, I just got a used lens that said in excellent condition from a seller on Facebook that rattles like a baby's rattler. I wonder if it's the same one you got and sent back. It came from New Jersey. Did you contact Paypal for the refund or how does that work? I want to send it back asap and just buy a new one. I have bought, sold and traded a lot of camera gear and never had this happen.
