  1. the one above Athens, is incredible, 3.5 seconds handheld.... wow and great office
  2. Thanks for the explanation, starting from scratch can be disorienting. I have a cheap mondpalast adapter from m42 to fuji and didn't have any issue before with that. Probably is a bit of a lottery game when comes to these kind of adapters, but I don't see the point in using an adapter that costs 2 or 3 times the lens with which I will use it.
  3. I don't see the point... Neither the command dial will have any markings or hard stops, so why this can be an improvement over the aperture ring?
  4. For now, we have only this tiny little rumor on the announcement period, neither date, but nothing on the specifics. In my opinion the T2 will have the same sensor of the PRO2, so we will have to wait until its releas
  5. I am one of those people who has never used a film camera before, at least not serious slr, only a point and shot. Maybe I am a bit too young, and having the possibility of choise, I choose digital and I don't feel the need to go back and try film photography: Till I am trying to grow and use my X-T1 at its best. But realy, I don't understand why if you never shot film you are a sort of B series photog.
  6. Thanks! Do you know wy there are so many acronyms then? The only thing I understood so far is that the (G) version is for the lenses that haven't an aperture ring.
  7. I come across a good offer for a Nikkor 55mm f/2.8 micro and a Vivitar auto macro 55mm f/2.8 both Making some research for an adapter I see that there are many different acronym (nik, nik(G), nf) I am a bit confused. Can you recommend some adapter for this two lenses? Maybe something cheaper than the 99 € metabones one.
  8. @ f/otographer Thanks and I think your post is on topic also here, maybe you can just "copy" it in the other thread @KwyjiboVanDeKamp If I continue to read your posts I'm shure I'll become addicted too
  9. f/otographer the more I dive into photography and the more I come to the same conclusions that you exposed in your post. Gear is really a small part of the creative process, and all comes to the ability of the human behind the camera to use at best what he has. This really puts in another prospective all the talks about the last gimmick in one body or in another, and so on. That said, I loved using the Helios last night. As this is my first time using a fixed focal lenght lens and also the first time using a manual lens, the learning curve is steep, somethimes you loose the shot because you didn't have focus in the right position or you can't make a step back or forth to your subject. But ehy, neither with the best of the best of the shooting gear you have always the photo ensured. By the way there are some of the first shots I took, I hope you enjoy them:D
  10. I just checked on my X-T1 and it does work... are you shure you are using spot and non center-weighted for example? Because in the second case the metering doesn't change much moving che af point, unless there are great differences in the illumination of the scene.
  11. As flysurfer said Sony is in another league, the body and lenses are designed for FF and are: - bigger - heavier - more expensive I'm not saing the Sony lineup is bad, just that if you choose to buy Fuji, then probably the best competitors are Olympus or Samsung.
  12. January will be exactly 2 years after the first releas of the T... but it would stil be 8 month from now, if you think you can wait until that date, go for it. The problem with electronics is that there is always something better coming shortly after But as you said 2016 isn't so close
  13. ok, it seams that I totally misundrstood what that screws were for XD
  14. I have a question for you guys... I noted that my adapter comes with four adjustments screws. They are meant to do fine centering of the lens in the adapter. How can I know if it's something I need to do and in what kind of effects can a non-centered lens incur?
  15. No, nothing in sight for the moment. I think that until the X-PRO2 will come out in late 2015 we won't heard any rumors on a successor of the X-T1. The X-T2 in 2016? Maybe, maybe not. I don't think we will see an X-T2 anytime soon.
  16. It states that the mode autofocus + manual focus is active You can trigger manual focus just by moving the focus ring when you are in af and you have already half pressed the shutter button, this way you can make micro adjustment to the focus point.
  17. @sir_c I read your link only today, and it has some interesting poins I didn't know about before. That said I knew that an old lens would have been a compromise and didn't expect fuji IQ, but I see your point. Probably if one is searching for a good landscape lens or overall good quality without compromises, 25€ lenses + 11€ adapters aren't a good choise XD When my adapter will arrive next week I will see what this combo can deliver
  18. the first is beautiful, great shot

two shots taken with the 18-55 @55mm, hand-held, without macro mode #1 #2
  20. For that prices NO WAY. I have just bought an Helios 44M-4 to play with some strange effect, but at less than 1/10th of the price of even the cheaper of this lenses. I can see some market for the circular fisheye though.
  21. I shot this photos on a climbing path over the city of Caprie, in Piemonte, Italy. It's a climbing that whoever with a normal physical form can face. Carring the X-T1 all the way to the top wasn't difficult, expect from some difficult transition where the rock was on my left side (where I had the camera), and the weight of the camera + lens didn't bother me at all. I almost forgot of it in some moments. Here some of the shots I took. #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 #7
  22. I think it can fit in this thread shot on a climbing path over the city of Caprie about two weeks ago X-T1 + 18-55mm @18mm 1/400 f/9 ISO 200
  23. interesting pictures, love how pic 5 and 6 seam to overturn the point of view
  24. It's incredible how well performs focus peaking on the sony
