That's the Everest messenger bag in the background. Olive canvas pairs well with my Retroactive 5 bag.

  3. I've have been experimenting shooting with my XP-1 in the studio and love the images. But, I need to shoot tethered for the type of work I do on a daily basis, e.g., http://shopcitrus.com So, from a pure aesthetic / feel point of view, I hope this functionality will be available on the the XP-2. If not, I'll probably purchase the X-T2.
  4. My kids gave me a Think Tank Retrospective 5 based on my wish list. Very nice bag, but now I wish I had wished for a Retro 7. The 5 is too small for my XPro-1 and four lenses. I also carry a EH20 in case I need a little fill. I am going to trade up. Basically, my camera never goes into the bag now. I keep the 18-55 zoom on it as it is my default lens. And since I'm geeking it out here, my other lenses are the 14, 60 & 90. All great lenses, but I sometimes wonder if the 60 is necessary. I do like to shoot macro though ... I also use a Everest Messenger Bag to carry a couple of flashes, flashpoint blast packs, cables, chargers, tabletop tripod, etc. Good value: http://www.ebags.com/product/everest/large-cotton-messenger-bag/207663?productid=10119299 Image below is the Everest bag in the background. Olive canvas pairs well with the Retro 5 bag. Hey Jimphotos - where do you park your car?

  6. Thanks for all the input. Yes, it must be a screen protector - thank you especially Burb. And after thinking about it, I'm not surprised the previous owner applied one of these. The camera was barely used and tricked out in every other regard. Immaculate actually. The smudge cannot be seen when the screen is live. I am concerned with possibly scratching the LCD. Need to get some fishing line. I will update if I successfully remove the thing. Again, thanks, for the responses.
  7. Trenton - I have tried an x-acto knife and can't get any leverage. Maybe I'm not holding my tongue right. I will admit that the idea that there is a protector in place makes the most sense. I'll just bide my time - it doesn't really affect anything at this point.
  8. It may well be a protective screen, but I tried to separate with my nails and a very sharp exacto knife. It's not lifting. And it does not interfere with the view. Guess I won't sweat it. (he said prayerfully)
  9. Initially I hopefully thought the same thing Milandro. I did purchase this camera used, but from what I can tell, a protective screen has not been applied. I appreciate your input though.
  10. There is a smudge that looks like water or oil on the interior of my LCD screen. Not sure, but it seems to be getting larger. Doesn't really affect the operation, but it is worrisome. Anyone have any ideas / experience with this? Is there a fix that doesn't require sending camera to Fuji? Thanks for taking a look.
  11. Nice set of images.

  13. An update - terrific value. Attached is first pass at playing with the light. Set up included small, transparent umbrella and fill card.
  14. Extremely pleased with Flash Q trigger. I use if for hand held fill flash - xpro1 & SB 800. It's a manual solution, but very easy to configure. http://lightpixlabs.com/products/flashq-kit-midnight-black
  15. Anyone have any experience with the Flashpoint Streaklight 360 flash? The reviews I've read sound promising and the price point on Adorama makes it look like an attractive portable lighting solution. http://www.adorama.com/FPLFSL360K1.html
  16. Keeping my fingers crossed that the x-pro-2 will support tethered shooting
  17. My name is Drake and I've been photographing for 30+ years. I've used just about every brand out there, but mostly Nikons. Picked up a used X-Pro-1 w/ 18-55 about two weeks ago. It has it's quirks, but like many of you, it has brought some joy back into photography for me. It's the feel and the quality of the images. I've got GAS pretty bad. Purchased a 14mm yesterday and am going to sell some of my Nikon gear to pick up a 35 1.4 and the new 90. I do a good bit of studio work so I am hoping the X-Pro-2 will support tethered shooting. If not I guess I'll get a XT-1 though I am reading about some weird workarounds for MAC users. Appreciate the work that goes into maintaining the forum and look forward to stopping by often. Cheers...
