  1. Sure you had, as this "updated" part of programm code stored "inside" the lens.
  2. There is a Lost Generation... or may be The Lost Civilization which tries open everything with iTunes... even a can of Coce...
  3. What lens do you have XC50-230mmF4.5-6.7 OIS or XC50-230mmF4.5-6.7 OIS II ? Update is applicable to the new one only.
  4. No, it was not. Linear motor gives you silent operations and faster AF, and both are not of your concern... so why bother about it... If you didn't see this old comparison have a look - http://admiringlight.com/blog/fuji-35mm-f1-4-vs-fuji-35mm-f2/
  5. And why do you bother about the linear motor?
  6. Yes, you can. I do it exactly this way. All DAT files for camera(s) and lenses should be in the root directory of SD card. That's it.
  7. 14f2.8 I used to be 18mm user for quite a long time and when I switched to Fuji I picked up 14f2.8 thinking it would be a good choice. However I still hadn’t tried it on. As a matter of fact I never carry my photo-bag while shooting. I always leave it in the car and go along with a camera and a single lens (spare battery in a pocket). At first it were zooms – 18-55 or 50-230 but with the lapse of time my preferences of FL narrowed to 35mm/60mm, so my mint 14f2.8 is waiting for its chance….
  8. Ken Rockwell... hmm, I know one guy... and he wants to be the President...
  9. Oh, yes, you're right. This method doesn't work with clutch lenses.
  10. check it here - http://www.fujirumors.com/new-firmware-features-1-using-afmf/
  11. So, is it possible to see your naileds and faileds, as I'm affraid nobody fully understand what are we talking about here.
  12. 35f2 ooc jpg after applying two filters from Nik Collection
  13. Why should I compare coming f2 with f1.4? What's logic in that? Reducing in aperture value might reduce bulkness as well I suppose, anyway we will see. silly... my girlfriend told me so...
  14. Leica Summicron-T 23mm f/2 weight - 153 g filter thread - 52 mm Dimension in length 37 mm Fujifilm XF 23mm F1.4 R weight - 300 g filter thread - 62 mm Dimension in length 63 mm
  15. said deva who just purchased the 16-55 and shot many hundreds of images with it and very happy he purchased it, but also wish it had OIS (18-55 has OIS)...
  16. Well, math says it's 18-55, but it would be too silly.... So, if it's a matter of life and death I'd choose between 10-24 and 16.
  17. I think there is no equal sign between people and paid pro in this context.
  18. But you won't resist to do so if you finaly get D500 and it makes someone nervous...
  19. and who cares what different media is about....
  20. What do you mean saying ...useless... I don't think you are unable correctly expose the pics while shooting, so what's wrong with jpeg files in your case?
  21. Do yourself a favor and get old used x-e2 as x-e1 is a way too old.
  22. XC 50-230mm: price ~ $200 (on eBay, NEW) weight: 375 g XF 55-200mm: price ~ $550 weight: 580 g XF 50-140mm: price ~ $1500 weight: 995 g with this price tag 50-140 is bound to be better, but... it depends
  23. I definitely have. That's why I'm with Fuji.
