Blue Zurich replied to Marimera's topic in Flash Photography with Fuji X
Meike makes a flash which is dependable, inexpensive and small. MK320. I use it on my X-T5 with my Popeshield diffuser. $69.99 -
The perfect bag !!!
Blue Zurich replied to fernandoj's topic in Bags, Half Cases & Straps for Fuji X
Realistically, it takes the formula N+1 for so called perfection as if you are like me, you rarely take all your gear on a shoot and find certain bags for 1, 2, 3 or more lenses thus having multiple bags. My perfection post was related to a maximum sized bag. I currently have 4 bags and they all serve different purposes. -
The perfect bag !!!
Blue Zurich replied to fernandoj's topic in Bags, Half Cases & Straps for Fuji X
I too found the perfect bag just today after 40+ years of photography and possibly 20+ bags. Tenba Axis 16L. I can hold my 3Legged Thing tripod on the back on molle in the center or inside and still have room for an X-T5 and 3 lenses. Narrow, swings around like a Lowepro Flipside so not putting it on the ground to swap lenses (I'm a Prime shooter and that's crucial) Looks cool too (multi-cam black) Happy as a clam. -
It is/was not what I was used to (5D3, R6) in terms of color and WB. Using Kelvin manually is just like another top dial. Something to do to get it right in camera.

stick a 27mm prime on there and let the magic begin. https://www.mpb.com/en-us/product/fujifilm-xf-27mm-f-2-8

I love using the Acros sim to guide my RAW editing. After using 20-22 MP Canon RAW's for years, it's interesting/fun to have all the latitude in these 40MP Fuji files. Yellowstone National Park by the way.

I just returned from Yellowstone National Park with my 70-300 and a rented 1.4 TC. The combo was fantastic in many ways. Light, maneuverable, fast focusing in moderate to better light, fantastic IQ. Here's a link to my Flickr account with that combo used in the wildlife shots and a few others. I went this route because I read time after time other shooters were happy with it over the 100-400. https://www.flickr.com/photos/197762654@N07/?fbclid=IwAR23rQGxxiUP26smxLdr1q4KSRQik_MTmWvgI6S_vj9i5eCjWfzB0lldWGg

3LeggedThing makes many models with those parameters. Great stuff!

That sounds fantastic, I highly recommend the 90 prime on the 5. It's a great match with the 40mp.

One way to feel better about Fuji's menus is to use an Olympus for a while.

XF 27 + XF 90 Just like 40 + 135 in FF which I carried for 20 years.

Get them all or similar iteration in hand first. Ergonomics will rule one or more out. Price is similar for all three, less than $100 USD between them yet the xt30ii will be new with a full warranty so that's a big deal. The X-T varieties will have the top photo (not video) experience and in saying this I rec you saving for an X-T5. It's phenomenal. That being said I am biased towards the X-T3 from your list. It's so much more camera than the others imho. The XS10 will not have the classic Fuji exp with the PSAM dial so there's that. Try mpb.com and look for Like New models, they grade them better than most used sites I have found.

Who has shot the new Voigtlander lens on the Xpro1?
Blue Zurich replied to dynamikz's topic in Fuji X Lenses
23 just on the xt5 only , sorry. If you care for that response let me know. -
Have you looked into the Wandrd slings? They come in 3, 6 & 9L flavors.

I took a few for my X-T5 and the 27 2.8 WR stayed glued on the entire time. Check out my Flickr page for the Vegas Album I made during my first trip there with the Fuji https://www.flickr.com/photos/197762654@N07/albums/72177720307327236

I do not have the experience of these lenses but have years of exp with EF 400 5.6 and would easily consider using it on my X-T5 with the Fringer. Sharper than most Fuji glass, exceptionally fast AF and gorgeous rendering. Great deals to be had as well.

I have a black X-T5 and looked closely at mine after reading this. I have no issues like you describe. You might consider a replacement from your retailer. Should be no problem since you just received it.

Both! How is your comfort zone with getting close to strangers? How tight do you like the framing? I personally love the 40mm full frame perspective (27mm on Fuji crop) and believe it's a fantastic semi wide for street and environmental portraiture.

afaik, there are no actual pancakes at that focal length. You have to drop down to 18 or up to 27. However without hood the 23 f/s as mentioned by SGinNorcal above is very compact. MPB.com has them at 329.00

Proportion of people who have never had a problem
Blue Zurich replied to ChrisWebb's topic in General Discussion
Interesting. I attempted to calculate all the various cameras and bodies owned since 1979 and I think it's about 30 - 35. I have never had a faulty new camera. Lenses yes, many times. Decentering was the most common issue. Like all reviews, you always hear about the negative 100 to 1 over the positive. When you're unhappy, the keyboard warrior in some comes out! (in my last century IT positions, we had a saying, "It's a PEBCAK error" Problem exists between chair and keyboard) -
First thing that comes to mind with limited knowledge of the settings is my hunch blames the glass not the body. Can you share more info? AF vs MF, what else could you tell was turned on or off? Not much to go by here. The X-T5 is a top tier camera body and you might think a shop would have a perfectly working model for use for sales purposes.

Hi, I have been shooting for about 44 years. Starting with medium format and E-6. My vision and 'eye' back then was all over the place. When I came into digital in 2000 and then FF Canon in 2006 I developed a style and interest in a set of genres that appealed to me. What mattered to me most was the 'me' part not was others might want to see. These styles and techniques morphed and evolved over the years but the main core of what I shot stayed the same. When I switched from Canon full frame to Fuji the biggest impact was being slowed down. This is something I have employed over the years from time to time but in a purely patience minded purpose. With the X-T5 it was due to ergonomics , menus and an adjustment to the system. Still, the result was similar as in previous years. Akin to shooting with a single focal length to strengthen your technique, I have grown again in my 'eye' what with composition and framing. I have always been a BNW shooter (film & digital) and the excellent sims and great 40 MP jpegs sooc give me further enjoyment with that process. I am a very happy switcher! https://www.flickr.com/photos/197762654@N07/
