FSP's Achievements

  1. I picked up the 16 in June and have used it a ton from weddings to family stuff. Everything that's been said regarding build and performance are on point. One thing I truly love about it is the clutch manual focus override. During receptions I set the 16 to manual focus and I live around f/2 to around f/4 or 5.6 and zone focus with peak for the dance floor. Super fast! I also really love the close focus ability. Ring shots and details are great with it. A few examples from details, family and weddings:
  2. Yes, bounced with the i40 for that image. I had a wall fairly close behind me. I love how quick the controls are on the i40! I didn't want too much light bouncing back on my subject as I wanted to avoid overexposing the background with the video guy finding his way into my frame. I probably had it in manual as I rarely trust TTL during receptions so having the access to power so quick and easy is really nice. I do have the X-T10 which I'm really loving. It is my second during weddings and my go to for personal stuff. I used the pop up the first night I got the camera just messing around. I'm not super knowledgeable on it but it seems like it would fill shadows on fairly close subjects well.
  3. Great images; especially the last
  4. Used the i40 for the first time a couple weeks ago shooting a wedding. A capable little flash!
  5. I have the graphite but I WOULD have chosen the black... my local dealer only had the graphite when I decided to grab one. Was going to wait for the black but he dropped the price a little so I couldn't pass it up. Picking up the X-T10 as my second and will most likely be getting the black.
  6. Been admiring / desiring the Fuji system for a while now. Finally jumped in with the X-T1 (I did own the X100 and 's' for a time but never shot pro with them). I've been a Nikon shooter for most of my professional wedding shooting. I currently shoot with a Nikon D750 and D610. How did it go at my last wedding with the X-T1? It went so well that at some point after the ceremony I just put down the D750 and went mostly Fuji (I shot a couple groups with the wider 35mm on the Nikon and some dance photos later on as well). Gear used: X-T1 (1) 35mm F1.4 56mm F1.4 For flash I just used my Nikon SB-910's... not optimal but hey I was just getting my feet wet with Fuji I've since added the Nissin i40 for now. Another wedding in a couple weeks so we'll see how it goes. If you want to take a look at the results I put up some thoughts and photos on my blog.
