Thank you for reminding us of the missing section for the M5. We‘ll correct this soon, for now you can use the M1 section.

I‘m quite sure, as this is the way other devices use such capacitors. But one would need a service manual to get exact knowledge.

The capacitor shouldn‘t ve relevant as long as a charged battery is loaded. I‘m afraid this is a different problem.

That’s to be expected, you‘d need an adapter with electronic contacts and some „translation“ for the lens. I‘m note sure such an adapter exits.

You have do select the main shutter speed with the top wheel. The command dial is used for finetuning.

Did you check the power mode?

As you can see from the other thread you‘ve posted in the issue is probably camera or firmware related.

I‘d suggest you set the focus to manual for now. What happens then?

Did you set the camera to timer or bulb mode, accidentically?

This seems to be a problem with the screen‘s connector then. You should consult the Fuji service.

Check if something is blocking the sensor of the eyepiece, e.g. a strap. An check if the eyepiece appears misplaced.

You can’t do program mode because aperture and shutter are set to auto.

Even if it was exactly the same hardware (which I doubt) the firmware updater would prevent the installation.

Welcome to our forum! It sounds mysterious that the camera would know about an outstanding firmware update. Perhaps there is a defect involved. As for old firmwares you could search the internet archive or ask the Fuji service by mail.

I don’t have a recommendation. The technical specifications should meet the camera‘s demands. SanDisk would be fine as well as other manufacturers. Please note that SD cards have a limited lifespan, especially when heavily used.
