  1. I really don't get how you folks can shoot with a permanent strap. I've always used a quick release system. In the old days I used a Tamrac. Now I'm using an Op/Tech sling strap but I bought that particular version for a smaller mirrorless camera and find it a little too light duty for the X-T1 w/vertical grip. It hasn't indicated it will fail on me yet but it makes me a little nervous so I will likely get the bigger version soon. Anyway, I like the sling strap a lot because it lets the camera get rotated off to my side or back when I'm carrying, allows quick spontaneous shots while still attached to the strap, and allows the strap to hang on my body when I have fully disconnected for serious shooting. The Op/Tech attaches nicely to the strap lugs so doesn't get in the way of the tripod stuff or make the camera sit funny(er) when I put it down on a table. Mike
  2. That's an interesting idea. I have two flat bicycle tires right now - all I need is a pair of scissors I found a different conversation that indicated the LenBands were about 5mm too large for the Fuji lenses. Also found one that suggested an O-Ring rolled in the aperture ring crack (well - they were talking zoom ring but I think the idea is basically the same. Thanks, Mike
  3. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has tried one of the Lens Bands to "lock" the aperture ring on those lenses that it is a little loose. I'm curious if the diameter of the XF lenses is too small for the band. I am constantly knocking my 56mm aperture ring to a different setting. The 14 and 18-135 are fine. Thanks, Mike
  4. Ouch. Did you "press break" it or whack something on it?
  5. Like that second one @Trenton. Are you using ext tubes or a reversing ring contraption?
  6. I might be the second one A shiny (but dirty) horse trailer: https://www.flickr.com/photos/105127983@N07/17111768727 Or just a plain old mirror: https://www.flickr.com/photos/105127983@N07/17324597601
  7. If you don't want the remote it's just over $60USD. I'm curious how decent it is, hopefully someone will post their experiences here. Unfortunately I already bought the Fuji one
  8. For me, probably the macro and 100-400 are two I most anticipate from the road map. I would probably rather have a 300/4 w/1.4TC but if the 100-400 is at least the image quality of the 18-135 it would be fine for my needs. In the meantime I'd like to see all the f/1.4's (to fill the space between the 14 and 56) in my bag
  9. Mike here. Just started with Fuji a month or so ago from (long time) Canon shooter. Looking to learn how to use the camera more better - in many ways it is so different from shooting the Canons (some good, some bad, some just different). So far, my biggest frustrations seem to revolve around the AF system so I am looking forward to the 4.0 update next month. Mike
