  1. The X100 series camera are excellent for travelling, mainly because you will not be carrying around lenses and then thinking which one should I use. Back in the day I would take two Rollie 35 cameras one with B&W film the other with colour slide film, never had a problem. I use the X-Pro, X-T1 and I also use the X100s. I would only take the X100s on a trip, no need even for a camera bag all you need is a spare battery a couple of 8gb SD cards and charger, you want to take pictures not needlessly carry a lot of gear, check out David Hobby on the strobist blog http://strobist.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/on-traveling-with-your-camera.html The X100s is an excellent camera the black version is available from http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=fujifilm+finepix+x100s&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ps Good luck and enjoy your trip
  2. I have ex-pro batteries, they have worked well and are good value.
  3. I have always used UV filters
  4. I have seen the following on Amazon: “Ex-Pro® Replacement Fuji AC Power Supply Adapter & Battery coupler kit [CP-W126 CP W126 16240872 included] for Fuji X-Pro1, X-E1” Has anyone on the forum bought one of these and used it on the Fuji X-T1. I assume that as the Fuji X-Pro1 & Fuji X-T1 both use the same battery and are both rated 9v/18w, there should be no problem. Unless someone knows better!
  5. I have the 35 on one of my x-pro's, which I use for 'street' photography a great setup, has not disappointed me yet.
  6. My favorite camera bag is my Domke F:803. This is my photo ‘Grab Bag’ it contains the following: Fuji X-PRO1 18~55mm lens & hood Fuji EF-42 flash AA batteries x4 Spare camera battery & SD card in a Think Tank pouch Torch Notebook & pen First Aid kit [i always carry one] Fruit bar The Domke F:803 is discreet, does not shout expensive camera inside and is tough, very tough Depending on my requirements I will also use Think Tank mirrorless mover 30i Or my Billingham Hadley large, particularly if it is raining. Or my Billingham L2 great for short walks/street shooting. Best of British Manufacturing.

  9. I use the Fuji EF-42 as my prime flash, with the Yongnou 560II when more power is required, although it is a manual flash. I did have the Fuji EF 20 and whilst I found it to be a pocketable flash, I found it to be disappointing and overpriced, so I sold that to part fund the EF-42. But I still liked the idea of a pocketable flash and I managed to source a Meike MK 320 on eBay, so far I have found to be as good on TTL as the Fuji EF-42, it is well constructed, tilts up and swivels sideways, comes with a pouch, stand and diffuser, all would be extra's with the Fuji EF 20, with an average cost of about £50/€70/$78 it is a very good buy, it also has a switchable LED light and interestingly it has a port on the side for a micro usb enabling rechargeable batteries to be charged in situ from any USB port! Yes I can recommend the Meike MK 320 at less than half the price of the Fuji EF 20
  10. I agree, I bought a second body, as they are such a great deal these day's. The advantage is that you can switch seamlessly between them without a second thought. I use body 'A' with the 18~55mm lens and body 'B' with my 35mm f/1.4 prime for street photography, in fact this morning I am going out with my x-pro 'B' kit, 35 mm lens, spare battery & sd card in a Domke F-5XB all up weight 3.2 lb/1473g.
