    Headshots

I was covering a childrens event at church yesterday. All taken with the X-T1 and 35mm. I just love this lens!
  2. I bought this lens a couple of weeks ago, and I used it last night on some outdoor portraits. Well wow. I know its old tech but the results are excellent!
  3. Mine arrived this week. Took it out for a walk around the park, along with the dog!
  4. 1 more 56mm
  5. A few from last month X-T1 and 56mm
  6. They look good. how many frames did you take?
  7. Like some posts above, I'm quite happy. I don't recall ever getting this sort of upgrade with Canon! I like that Fuji are really wanting to improve things. The eye detection worked a treat this morning with the 35mm f1.4, as well as the various zones. The fastest things I'll need to track are the kids or the bride coming down the aisle.
  8. Thanks for the info - any names for the 3rd party cable release?
  9. Is it possible with the X-T1 to shoot longer than 30s other than using a cable release? Thanks
  10. Like the OP, didn't know High performance was an option. Now need to go and play...
  11. 1st engagement shoot of the season with the X-T1, 56mmf1.2 and the 18-55mm. Lovely evening light. Used spot metering mode for most of the backlit shots and quite impressed.
  12. I already had the Lee system (100) and even a 58mm adapter for the 18-55, so a couple of weeks ago splashed out on the Big Stopper. Great quality (maybe the best?) but expensive.
  13. Hi All I'm Martin and like many others I'm switching from my Canon DSLR outfit to Fuji. I follow Damien Lovegrove on twitter, and 2 months ago happened to see some of his work, using and X-T1 and the 56mm f1.2 and I was so blown away with the images I immediately ordered on an X-T1 and 18-55mm online! Then something strange happened. I became excited about taking photos, a feeling I'd not had for 25 year (using a Bronica RF, my all time favourite film camera). Last week, I was the main photography for a community event with over 3000 people. I used the X-T1 and 18-55 & 56 f1.2 only. Got some fantastic shots and have had great feedback from the organisers. I'm looking forward to covering some weddings with it later this year. I suppose my next step is to shoot jpeg only. Scary, but the jpegs out the camera are excellent! Just need to decide what lens is next.... Mart www.martinsmithphotography.com
