  1. You will love the 14 2.8. It is very sharp from corner to corner, not and compact and works well on an XP1. I was able to buy one in like new condition for $475. I would recommend going the used route for future lenses. You can save hundreds of dollars and there are a few sites that are very reputable. The only negative to the 14 2.8 is a somewhat loose turning aperture ring.
  2. The faster focusing 35 f2 may offset the extra stop of light from the 35 1.4. It is also very quiet.
  3. I love the IQ and compact size of the 14 2.8. The only negative is the loose aperture ring.
  4. I sold the 35 1.4 to get the f2 and found that the IQ very similar. The 35 f2 is much faster to focus and almost silent which makes it a pleasure to shoot with.
  5. The Fuji XC 50-230 is probably the best bang for the buck lens Fuji makes. The IQ is really terrific. It is lightweight and just a pleasure to shoot with. It can be had used in like new condition for under $200.
  6. I have both the 18-55 and the 35 f2...had the 35 1.4. The 35 f2 has better IQ than the 18-55 at 35mm.
  7. I prefer primes but if i were to get a zoom, it would be the 16-55 2.8.
  8. I love the IQ and compactness of the 14 2.8. It is certainly wide enough for me is just a pleasure to shoot with. Getting it for $475 in like new condition was a great find.
  9. Since I have the 14 2.8 which I love, and had the 35 1.4, a really terrific lens, when the 35 f2 came out, I sold the 35 1.4 and got the 35 f2. To me the IQ of both 35's were very similar but the big difference was the focus speed and almost silent 35 f2. It is also a little more compact than the 1.4. Would I like to shoot with the 23? Probably, but for now, the 14 and 35 are great, small, high quality lenses. I have one on my X-E1 and the other on my XP1.
  10. I have the 14 f2.8 and the 35 f2. Next will be the 56 f1.2.
