  1. That's a bit exaggerated don't you think citral. If you're shooting for a while with such a lens you anticipate without thinking. Changing a lens takes way longer.
  2. @Aswald thanks . Isn't 200mm hard to focus? Even with focus peaking. I'll try it out when I'll find one. @Watcher24 Nice pictures. You're right they're pretty heavy. The 50 f/1.4 is kind of allright though. But it's nothing like the Fuji lenses. I already tried the 135mm S.C. and still have it around. It's very hard to focus without a tripod though. Another testcat with the 135mm S.C. Because I like birds by Licht Sluw, on Flickr
  3. The dof is more pleasing on the 16-55 but the difference isn't huge. It's only one stop faster on the long end and has the same aperture on the wide end. So if you're really looking for a shallow dof I'd look at the 35mm f/1.4 and 56mm f/1.2. @cold187 try standing close to your subject, zoom all the way in and set the aperture to f/2.8. That should give you the shallowest dof possible on that lens.
  4. Hi, is anybody using old Canon FD lenses on their Fuji? Some lenses are really good and I especially like the 50mm f/1.4 S.S.C. It's sharp and has nice bokeh. I tried a few bad ones as well though... Any tips on other good FD lenses? Moustache by Licht Sluw, on Flickr Magical forest by Licht Sluw, on Flickr
  5. Nice pictures swallero. I especially like the second shot. This lens works really well for landscapes (also really like the nightscape of JuergenK).

  8. I'm very happy with this one as well. Love the extra mm's compared to the 14mm although that one's better built. Crossing borders by Licht Sluw, on Flickr Stedelijk Museum hallway by Licht Sluw, on Flickr Upper deck by Licht Sluw, on Flickr
  9. For me portability is one of the reasons I bought mirrorless. For some it's more important than others. Have you thought of getting the 27mm? On the X-E2 it's as big and a bit lighter than any x100 camera. I don't know where you're from but there are some cashbacks going on... That'd give you portability for the days you don't want carry those big and heavy primes around. If you don't need weather sealing and the f/1.4 I'd keep the 14mm. It's an awesome lens, super sharp, light and you have that bit extra wide angle. Personally I'd miss that on the 16mm (and keeping a lens is cheaper than selling and buying). And I didn't read why you dislike the 18-55. It's great. But if you want more bokeh you could buy the 35mm. Edit: or do what Michaelortiz says. You could add the 27 for portability and you're good to go.
