  1. The Rosette Nebula has a lot of moving parts. Tucked away inside is a small cluster, NGC 2244. This is the exposure equivalent of just under 66 minutes. The cluster is surrounded by dust lanes, other nebulas and nebula stuff. Here is a slightly more brightened version: https://science.nasa.gov/ngc-2244-star-cluster-rosette-nebula https://science.nasa.gov/rosette-nebula https://www.galactic-hunter.com/post/ngc-2244 edit: This is a bit more distant view for the Rosette Nebula (using the feet to zoom does work 😀). This is the equivalent of a 19 minutes, 35 seconds exposure.

    Fuji Flowers

Has anyone taken pictures of baby breath flowers? I just really like the look of this flower, but haven't seen a picture of it. I think it would make a good photo with this flower. This flower has an aura of its own that motivates you to strive to achieve your goals. I design wedding bouquets and every time I order baby breath flowers wholesale from https://fiftyflowers.com/collections/babys-breath-flower, I am overwhelmed with feelings when working with them.

  3. Rigel and the Witch Head Nebula: This is typically how IC 2118 (usually called the Witch Head Nebula) is presented, upside down. In space though, there really is no such place as "up". The nebula is a reflection nebula; which means it does not give off any light on its own, but instead reflects the light from stars, nearby street-lamps, errant flashlights, etc. 😀. https://www.planetguide.net/orion-constellation/ https://www.space.com/22872-rigel.html https://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/imagegallery/image_feature_1209.html https://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/imagegallery/image_feature_701.html (Part Two of Two)

  9. Fish Head Stew This is NGC 896 (also known as IC 1795) The Fish Head Nebula. Fish Head is located just next to the very beautiful Heart Nebula (IC 1805), so close that it looks like it is connected to it. This is the equivalent of a 102 minute exposure. https://www.planetary.org/space-images/ngc-896 https://science.nasa.gov/ic-1795-fishhead-nebula https://science.nasa.gov/heart-heart-nebula

  10. Mineralized Worm Moon The moon shines so brightly that it seems there is no color there, just bright reflected sunlight. Not even green, if you recall that the moon is made of green cheese. 😀. Actually there is a lot of color, one technique called 'Mineral Moon' brings it out. NASA has an example: https://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/imagegallery/image_feature_819.html March's full moon is called The Worm Moon, on account of the soil warms up and the worms crawl out. Worm Moon goes by quite a few other names: https://www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/moon/worm.html

  11. NGC 281 This is the equivalent of 116 minutes exposure time. NGC 281 also goes by the name of the Pacman Nebula. https://solarsystem.nasa.gov/resources/763/the-pacman-nebula/ Wocca, wocca, wocca. edit: 2022/10/24 - swapped the old image out for this new one. The time listed is for this new one.
