Just got my i40 in the mail from Amazon today. Specifically purchased it to use HSS but can't seem to figure out how to make it work after following the instructions on the hack.

I have placed the flash in manual mode and held down the test button for 3 seconds so that the light next to the M is blinking. Still, no HSS since it is still not lighting the scene completely when shooting higher than 1/200th.

I also have firmware 4.0 installed. Not sure if this has anything to do with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am not able to find any other assistance on the net thus far.

Maybe this can help: http://www.fujirumors.com/fuji-nissin-i40-hss-force-trick-enable-sync-speeds-up-to-14000-on-your-x-series-camera/

Turn the i40 to manual mode Press and hold test button for three seconds
Watch the lamp next to the m for manual go on and off. You just turned on high speed sync!
Turn on flash put the right dial on the speed you need HSS works up to 1/4000

To activate the HSS you need do is turn the flash to manual, press and hold the test button for 3 seconds, which is the power LED. After 3 seconds the LED next to the manual control will flash. Unfortunately you are now not in TTL mode so it will only sync with the manual flash controls, but that is good enough.
