  1. Hi, The rubber is peeling off my X-T1 and the battery door pops out. Has anyone in the UK had this replaced and how much was it? I emailed Fuji but they haven't come back to me. Is there anywhere else I can get this done? Thanks
  2. There isn't really any point getting the Nikon or Canon ones as you are paying a fortune for advanced features like TTL etc which you cannot use on the fujis. I am a big fan of Godox as the build quality is excellent and their radio system has never missed a single shot. they are manual only though. I can also adjust all my flash levels from my camera. If its on camera you want I would wait for the new fuji flash to be released...
  3. me too. A. I was wary at first but I'm sure it will be fine. Either that or a mass recall in the future... Mine does make a load of crazy noises, almost like a fax machine. Also makes like a triple click when you turn it on as well. Still doesn't worry me.
  4. Yes exactly. I got closer shots of the rings with my 90mm than the 35 and they looked great
  5. Yes I wish lightroom would try to mimic the in-camera settings at the time of shooting raw (like film simulation, shadows etc). It gives you a closer starting point with your images rather than them being fully reset by lightroom. There are already fuji simulation camera profiles, even if it just auto loaded that for the images.
  6. my 35mm is really loose. I would say Fuji have definitely improved the stiffness on later lenses (16-55, 90, 50-140 etc)
  7. as mentioned above, ability to use high speed sync flash! That's pretty much all I want from it that I don't have.
  8. The bokeh on the sample pics I saw for the 50-140 put me off buying it. Some of the examples made me feel dizzy. I had the money in the bank ready to go. I have just got the 90mm, the images really pop out the frame and I can really see how this is going to become my 2nd favourite lens (after the 35mm)
  9. I agree with this, I reckon it's taken me about 6 months of daily use to feel more confident with my X-T1 than with my canon 6D. I hate using the 6D now as it just feels clunky and slow...
  10. Ah well, will have to stick to the ND filters then!
  11. Has there been any news regarding official support for HSS?
  12. I always leave auto ISO on set to 6400 max (I would rather take grainy and sharp than lower ISO and blurred), unless I have flash on of course. Auto ISO is even more useful now that the exposure compensation can be used since FW4
  13. I use a Hoya Pro1 Digital Protector, they are a bit cheaper than UV filters. You don't need UV on digital cameras apparently so this is just pure glass protection. The 16-55 is my only Fuji lens I use a filter on though as the glass feels quite exposed compared to say the 56mm where the hood makes it harder to get to the lens.
  14. You need to update the lens firmware separately, however there have not been any lens updates since the FW4.0 came out so you don't need to worry about that.
  15. Also last time I tried out the magic lantern you needed a separate piece of software to actually deal with the images and video. I can imagine for a camera to do this it would need to be quite powerful.
