Noise on xt20

Hi,

 

I'm new to the forum. I just bought an xt20 and i feel like there's quite a bit of noise or grain when I zoom in on the pictures on Lightroom. I tried to compare with pictures i found on the internet and it seems that there's less noise on them.

 

I just wanted to know if it's normal or if there's some kind of problem with the camera i bought. I've attached a 1:1 zoom of an interior picture next to a window during daytime.

The ISO is 1000 so quite high but i tend to see this noise still appearing at lower ISOs.

Check in the main menu I.Q.; Noise reduction. If not, set -4. Perhaps it can improve the pictures.

Normal.

 

Looks fine to me.

 

At 1:1, if that image you provided were displayed, at that size, it would be huge.

 

I can literally see the fingerprints on the handle.

 

There isn't anything wrong with your camera.

 

The sensor you have is identical to what we all have....if the sensor had problems the industry would know about it.  

 

Not certain what grain/noise expectations you may have...

 

How do your pictures look when viewed at normal size?

 

That's all that counts.

ok thanks a lot, the pictures look great normal size, i was not complaining or anything just curious. I set the noise reduction to -4. thanks again for your quick answers
