LCD and Eye Sensor

Hi,

On my X-T2 the Eye sensor + LCD display has stopped working ... now when in this mode the Eye Sensor is on and stays on when my eye is removed, but the LCD is black.

Any ideas, please.

The eye sensor may respond to objects other than your eye or to light shining directly on the sensor.

Watch your fingers and other objects getting too close to the EVF.

did you by any chance disable the toggle? You may have been doing this without you noticing it.

Can you try to change the mode using the button on the right hand side of the EVF?

If it says evf + eye sensor then you can see the evf but when you remove your eye the lcd is black.

I use this as it's really useful for leaving the camera on (for transferring files over WiFi to my phone) but not munching through batteries.

Just change the mode to evf + lcd by toggling through the modes using the button on the side of the evf bump.

I had a similar problem.

It was caused by the rubber eye cup  being slightly dislodged when removing camera from bag.

Cured when I pushed it back into place.
