It happened that after transferring photos from my new X-T50's SD card (formatted in the camera) attached to MacBook Pro, the card put back to the camera launched a message of a card error (or similar). Before using the card (Sandisk) in X-T50 I used it in Nikon D7100, without problems. Strangely enough, it was not possible to format the card in X-T50 (another error message). However, another Sandisk card appeared to work in X-T50 well. Then, I put the card with the error message back to Nikon and formatted it there successfully: It was possible to take pictures with Nikon. Surprised of this, I took the card back to X-T50 - and was able to format it! And I also took pictures without problems! Can anyone tell me what is this? As there are only one slot in X-T-50, this behaviour makes me nervous. Unfortunately, I cannot remember exactly but I had previously a problem of a similar kind, and I think it was associated with using the card in MBP, as now! Can an SD card be corrupted in Mac, although I just transferred pictures from it?? Perhaps it is safer to transfer pictures from X-T50 with a cable. Comments welcome!

This is very interesting! I never found a situation like this with Nikon. - Now I've been formatting, taking a few pictures, and formatting again, several times, to see if the problem appears. No, by this time. By now, I think I don't take the card out of X-T50 but transfer the taken pictures by a cable. And then format the card. If there will be problems, I'll let you know!

OK, interesting. - Are there any drawbacks for using the formatting with the app? As it happened to me (you can read above) that the card became unusable (until I found a way to get it functional again), is there any "guarantee" that formatting with the app can prevent the problem? The problem arouse after reading the card in my MacBook Pro. Can I let my Mac to read the card without having the card corrupted? Can there be other reasons explaining the corruption of the card? I ask this because having a camera with just one card holder there is no any backup if the card gets broken.
