How were they incorrectly downloaded? I've just gone through post no. 75 step by step and it still doesn't work Capture One keeps crashing.

Hi there, again, thanx a lot to Fleckintosh for those color profiles !

I do have a slightly different situation than others on the comprehension of the proper way to install them.

I have a Windows 10 PC and  did install the Color Profiles on the following path : Users/UserX/AppData/CaptureOne/Color Profiles (as mentionned in message topic #75)

They work perfectly BUT I need to select them on the " Others" option on the Color Profile Tool and I don't understand why , any other have had these kind of discomfort ?

I must had that I previously had a profile of my own, an Acros film color profile that I tweaked a bit and that profile appeared on the first choice of selection on the color profile tool, when I look at the emplacmeent of that profile I found it there : C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color.. I have no recollection of putting it there , I might have had but I can't remember.

If anyone could help me with that that would be greatly appreciated, thank you again !

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum but have been a Fuji user for a while (X-T1 and X-T2). I am in process of moving away from LR to Capture One since the images just look so much better. However, the version of C1 I have is the new Capture One 11. Does anyone know if the renowned styles covered in this topic work with the new C1 version 11?

Many thanks,

Nick

These are beautiful! But I'm having trouble as I try to switch to Capture One, when I try to select these ICC Profiles I end up with really, really, really long beach balling on macOS. It eventually recovers, but it it's on the order to 10-15 minutes. Does anyone else experience that?

Hi,

I'm using Capture 1 version 11 Express for Fuji and copied the files in to the profiles folder as instructed, but I don't seem to have the option to select another colour profile - is this due to it being the express version and not Pro?

Edit: Found under the colour tab!

Since I don't have one of the newer X series cameras, I just tried these profiles with Capture One v12 Express running on Mojave after doing the previously mentioned file modifications and it works fine.

By cleaning up the files and changing .icc to .icm, then putting those files directly into the C1 app folder, as noted, gives you the profile selections in the Profile pulldown with previews.

I also changed the references to XT1 in the file names to what I'm using, a XE2.

Many thanks for all the great advice,

Nick

    • I use a TECHART ring to mount Canon EF lenses on the GFX 50S-II and 100S-II, maintaining image stabilization and autofocus. The only limitation are lenses with a small rear element diameter that make it impossible to cover medium format. Fast lenses like the EF 85/1.2L or the 100-400L, however, work great.
    • I also use a Nikon to GFX Fringer and it works very well.  24mm f/1.8 vignettes so best used on 35mm mode.  50mm f/1.8 covers the entire frame very well with no issues and is a superb little lens. 105mm Sigma vignettes slightly but is perfectly usable. 300 f/4 likewise the 105.  I have a 70-200 f/20+.8 incoming to test so will report back but I'm expecting a little vignetting.  Even in 35mm mode the image is still 60MP and if you're prepared to manually crop and correct you can get 80-90 MP images.  I also have a C/Y to GFX adapter.  The 24mm Sigma Superwide vignettes strongly. Ditto 28-80 Zeiss Sonnar. 80-200 f/4 Sonnar is perfectly usable. All work fine as 35mm mode lenses.  I also have an M42 adapter which I tried with the Carl Zeiss Jena 135mm f/3.5 with good results.
    • Thank you. I will research it.
    • Ahh, the infamous brick wall photos… 😀 According to internet lore, if the dng converter does not properly apply the corrections, you can have it apply custom profiles that should work for you. How to do that is waaaaaay outside of this comment’s scope, but there are plenty of sites listed in the search engines that step you through the processes. Best wishes.
    • Jerry Thank you very much. That is extremely helpful. It seems that the camera and the lens have the latest firmware update, so it appears that the corrections should be applied automatically. The lens arrived this afternoon and I took some quick test shots, in which the correct lens information appeared in the EXIF files, so that sounds good. I used Adobe DNG converter to convert the Raw (RAF) files, and then opened the DNG files and saved them in PSD format. However, with a beautiful, clear, cloudless blue sky, there were no lines near the edges to check if distortion had been corrected. Another day I plan to photograph a brick wall. Thank you for your help.
