Looking at the Fuji UK site refurbs their prices seem to be on the high side.

Brian it would help to give appropriate advice if you indicate what country you are from!

PS. As I now know you live in Spain, surely there are local dealers who sell used gear! If not there are loads of British dealers who sell second hand stuff!

Thanks all. You are correct Mike I live in Spain but I'm just trying to get a fair price to sell some of my stuff to a family member in UK. I'm afraid I don't know what a Craiglist is but I'll look it up. I'm not out to make money on this transaction but just help a youngster to get started with some kit I don't use much these days. I'll have a scout round s/h online dealers in UK and work down from there. The refurb shop just seemed a one-stop resource to gauge prices, albeit on the high side but a starting point.

refurbished camera and lenses by fuji are hardly representative of a market price.

That's why I asked this question: "Just as a rule of thumb how much more would you say are the Fujifilm refurbished shop prices above prices for your averagely used s/h kit prices? "

it would be different the world around but in my neck of the woos as much a 25% more

That's about figure I had in my mind. Even up to 30%. Gives me a rough benchmark. Thank you. I'm going to reduce it further anyway for the youngster to help her get started.

The UK refurb shop gives you a 1yr oem warranty (the same as a new UK store bought item)

Secondhand doesn't, so secondhand equipment needs to reflect this...

FWIW I've always used a ebay search of sold listings to determine what something secondhand is worth
