Gfx50s aperture f0

I have gfx50s and mitakon 65mm. When plugged it says f0 on the camera. Is this normal because mitakon is a manual lens? Or something wrong with lens or camera? Thanks,

Welcome to our forum. This is normal for manual lenses.

Thank you for the speedy answer. I thought something was wrong with the lens. It doesnt transfer any exif data too when in lightroom. I remember having manual nikon lens and the camera detects the aperture

It depends on the lens and its connectors.

Yes that is normal for a manual lens.  Besides the manual focusing (due to bad vision) is why I don't shoot manual lenses.

Thank you. I am reading a lot of good reviews with mitakon thats why i tried it. I dont have great vision as well and i can see what you mean.

Sorry for bumping this thread but I am having the same issue. However, for the first few days I used the lens I had no issues with the 50R recognising the aperture on the same Mitakon lens. It just then suddenly stopped.

Not sure if this is an error with the camera or the lens. I did a factory reset of all the camera settings but that didn't change anything unfortunately. 

Did anyone manage to resolve this?
