My X-T2 had a battery die while shooting. It lead to a couple of corrupt files on the card and the Camera reverting back to Japanese language settings.  I managed to reset the settings back to English but now I have 'ND' in the top left corner of the viewfinder/screen (attached image). it shows the ND both with and without the lens attached.

I have searched the internet and the X-T2 Handbook, posts seem to infer its a built in 'Neutral Density' filter?  but I cannot find anywhere this can be turned on or off in the X-T2  Firmware is V4.40 - The Shutter speed is blank in the image because no light is getting into the lens.

Many Thanks

Paul...

This is a screenshot from the manual and it appears your ND is in position 2, focus check, but I don't think it has anything to do with that. I think the X100 series are the only cameras with a built in ND filter so it remains a mystery.
