X-pro 1 focus or release priority?

Doesn't the x-pro 1 have this option? Can't find it in the menues.

Seriously?! 65 views and counting and no one knows the answer? I may be stupid, but I simply can't find that menu option, so started wondering if the x-pro 1 even has it?

I don't think it does.

I don't know of a menu setting for it, but if you just press the button down fully, it will snap the picture whether it's able to lock on focus or not.

 

If you use back button, you eliminate that priority from the shutter release button though.

 

Rico, adzman, or someone else might have some other suggestions, for what you're wanting to achieve, but these are the two methods I use, although I get better results using back button.

Consider it release priority only, even with back button.
