Hello, let me start by saying that English is not my first language. So I'm sorry if there are any mistakes. I have had the Fuji XT-5 since last year. I am very happy with the camera, but since then I have also had some problems with it. The camera sometimes seems to freeze. For example, if I turn off the camera, the LCD screen remains on. I can look through it but none of the functions work. It only stops if I tae out the battery. The indicator light also flashes red very often. It has already been sent to the factory but they say they can't find anything. I am very happy with the camera, but I find it worrying that this is already happening. I reset it to factory settings. I had updated it first, but I have now removed that update as well. Are there others with this problem? Or does anyone know a solution? Thank you in advance -
I went through this same problem some years ago with the X-T2 and bought the first version of the Fringer adapter that jerryy has suggested. It has worked very well - and given decent AF performance as well as controlling the aperture.

Something such as this: https://www.fringeradapter.com/canon-ef-to-fujifilm-x https://fotodioxpro.com/products/ef-fx-fsn or similar from one of their competitors might work for you. Canon EF lenses all operate ‘by wire’, the body tells them how to set the auto-focus and f-stop, so you need an electronic adapter, otherwise they will work but shoot with the f-stop wide open. p.s. Welcome to the forum.

Yes, the adapter is manual and doesn’t include the electronic contacts. I knew I’d lose autofocus, but I thought it would be it. Manual focus can be handled, but losing aperture control is very limiting. -
That’s to be expected, you‘d need an adapter with electronic contacts and some „translation“ for the lens. I‘m note sure such an adapter exits.
