Hi from Annapolis

Just bought an X-Pro 2 to explore the Fuji system. I have been a Nikon and Leica film user for decades, and plan to initially use my Leica 35/2 and 90/2 lenses on the XP as I learn about the camera and format. Manual focus is not a big deal for me, at least for a walkabout camera. Aperture priority works great with these lenses.

 

My Nikon gear was important when I shot for our magazine, as it is heavy duty and never ever let me down. But I no longer need or want the weight and bulk of a full-blown system. And I understand the technology has vastly improved in APS-C and processors, perhaps more so than full frame technology.

 

I hope the XP fulfills my needs for a walkabout camera as well as for travel. It is the same size as a Leica M6, feels right in my hands, and is clearly a step up from my Canon G1X but a much less physical experience than a FF DSLR and big glass.
