Shooting without Lens-Setting

Very new to the XT-1,and loving it

 

Purchased the Samyang 12mm today,i realise that i have to set the camera to the "Shooting without Lens-Setting" when using this lens to allow the camera to function,is it necessary to switch it back to " OFF" when using my Fuji  lenses as the camera seems to work without changing it back ?

I always leave it "ON". Haven't noticed any problems

I left it "on".

Likewise, left it on and never bothered with it ever again.

yes, it is only there to prevent activating the camera while putting it back in the pocket after using it, mine too is always on.

Mine is always on too, but for the first time last week, I found blurry photos of the grey interior of my bag! About 8 shots, I think. It took me a moment to realize what had happened. I must have bumped the release while walking since I don't always turn the camera off when I bag it. So there could be a downside....

yes, but this could happen also with the lens on off when you are carrying an autofocus lens ( depending on the setting) which might also shoot when the lens is not in focus
