Hi all,

I'm a new member here, and sorry if my first post is with a question for help, but I'd appreciate any insight with this.

The shutter on my camera will not take a picture with Triggertrap. The camera is getting some sort of signal from my phone- the camera's on-screen menu will flash briefly as if the next step would be the shutter moving- but the shutter never closes.

I have the X-T10 and just bought Triggertrap's MD3-R9 kit for Fuji. ( This kit uses a usb connector instead of the the mic connector.)

All of my camera settings are in manual, and my Fn buttons are set as Rico had recommended in his book '115 X-pert tips'.

The volume control on my phone is set to max.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Is there some setting that I have enabled that is preventing the signal from firing the shutter?

Thank you for your help.

I had the same problem with my TriggerTrap at first. I figured out, it was a loose contact. Try to pull out the plug out the jack a little (0.5 mm or so) and try again. If it works then, you have two options. Either send the TriggerTrap back and wait for a replacement or (that's the way I went) open the casing and bend the contacts of the female jack - so the contacts of the plug fit.

I glued it together and had no problems again so far. It seems, the quality control of TT has some room for improvement.

Thanks for the idea. I gave that a try and unfortunately that didn't work.
