The manual seems to imply that in-camera battery charging should only be done by connecting to the USB port of a computer... Is it really bad to plug it into a charging block?? I've got a second battery & Fujifilm wall charger ($$$😖😖😖) on back-order, but in the meantime I have to charge the battery in-camera. It's a real PITA if it has to only be charged through my laptop..

More ? to come, I'm sure, but I'm already really digging this camera after only a couple hours with it..

You can use a normal USB charger.

+1  Plug in overnight and you are good to go next day.  You can also buy a second battery and external charger and swap out the batteries when one gets low.  This works well for me when traveling or forgot to recharge.
