I charged mine plugging into a usb wall block for the few days until my Nitecore charger arrived, no problem. I suspect Fuji's 'ambiguous specificity' 🤔 about charging is to protect themselves from liability for damage if someone plugs the camera into a cheap charging block and something bad happens. I think it's wise to charge the battery outside the camera in any case, and it is kind of lame of Fuji not to include a charger (as do Canon, Nikon et al....).

The manual seems to imply that in-camera battery charging should only be done by connecting to the USB port of a computer... Is it really bad to plug it into a charging block?? I've got a second battery & Fujifilm wall charger ($$$😖😖😖) on back-order, but in the meantime I have to charge the battery in-camera. It's a real PITA if it has to only be charged through my laptop.. More ? to come, I'm sure, but I'm already really digging this camera after only a couple hours with it..
