Hi! 

I have the following issue with my X-T30: sometimes the front command dial only decreases whatever direction I turn it, left or right. I have set this dial to control ISO so I cannot increase ISO during shooting and also while browsing the photos and turn the dial to the right it does not go to next photo but to previous. The only way to restore function is to turn camera off and on again. I have tried to reproduce the problem with no success, it happens randomly but is very annoying. 

Seems like a firmware issue, i have the latest 1.20. Anyone else with similar issue?

You should try and assign other features to the front dial command and see if it acts similarly. I've had this issue with an X-Pro2 (though with the back command dial) and it turned out to be a moist-issue. It started after a walk in some mild rain on Iceland and only after the camera was serviced it disappeared... Could it be the same issue for you?

It acts the same way for every command i assign. I tried also factory reset with no success.

After many hours of troubleshooting I noticed that i had this issue with a Samyang lens and also with a 7Artisans lens, both manual with non electronic contacts. Today i am shooting the whole day with my Fuji 18-55 and also with my Fuji 55-230 and everything is ok, so this could probably be a bug/incompatibility with non-Fuji lenses. However needs more testing to confirm

im mostly late to this topic but i was experiencing the same thing.it turns out debris consisting of dust and other tiny things where causing the issue .the front dial is not weather sealed and dust gets in there .i had to blast it with contact cleaner and that did the job for me .before it was either not increasing the iso only decreased it or it woul jump backwards randomly when in picture view mode when trying to go back on the viewer. it fixed it for me i thought it was software related or just a bad dial.it turns out it was just dust.

      Perhaps matrix/evaluative metering mode would be a better choice in more circumstances. We need to be aware of how the camera will see the scene and choices it might make, I find having the viewfinder set to "exposure preview" or whatever it's called is helpful in knowing when to apply exposure compensation.

      This is what I found on a firmware update that seems to address the problem. However, firmware version is at Ver. 211 already. As stated above this occurrence only happens using the EVF and at apertures between f2.0 and 3.6. It does not happen using the OVF or LCD. The firmware update Ver.2.11 from Ver.2.10 incorporates the following issue: The phenomenon is fixed that when pressing the shutter button halfway under certain conditions, the live view can flicker.

      Hi! Thanks for this comment! Yes, although I'm utterly happy with my X-T50, small, light, sharp pictures, Xapp functioning, I've got to know that the camera tends to emphasize contrast in contrasty scenes. In a way this is strange to me, as X-T50 mostly exposes very well. This is especially expected with photos with foliage. Of course, I would like that the behaviour would be different. When I'm taking travel and such pictures I choose for JPG format (not HEIC, as Mac's Photos opens them oddly very slowly; iPhone's HEICs open fast ...). With JPG I've chosen to use the DR400 setting, but the problem is still there. For "more important" photos I of course use the RAW format. Regards, T.

      Congrats on your Fuji! Since the receipt is in your relative’s name, they’re technically the original owner for warranty purposes. Some manufacturers, including Fuji UK, may allow a warranty transfer if you contact them and explain it was a gift. You could either ask your relative to make any initial claim, or reach out to Fuji to register it under your name as the recipient of a custom gift. Since it hasn’t been registered yet, it’s a good time to check with them.

      Hi Dolores! 👋 Nice to meet you. I’m pretty new around here and just starting to dive deeper into the Fuji world, so it’s really cool to hear about your journey through all those cameras! How are you liking the X-T4 compared to the X-T2? I’ve been thinking about upgrading at some point and would love to hear your thoughts.
