Hi! 

I have the following issue with my X-T30: sometimes the front command dial only decreases whatever direction I turn it, left or right. I have set this dial to control ISO so I cannot increase ISO during shooting and also while browsing the photos and turn the dial to the right it does not go to next photo but to previous. The only way to restore function is to turn camera off and on again. I have tried to reproduce the problem with no success, it happens randomly but is very annoying. 

Seems like a firmware issue, i have the latest 1.20. Anyone else with similar issue?

You should try and assign other features to the front dial command and see if it acts similarly. I've had this issue with an X-Pro2 (though with the back command dial) and it turned out to be a moist-issue. It started after a walk in some mild rain on Iceland and only after the camera was serviced it disappeared... Could it be the same issue for you?

It acts the same way for every command i assign. I tried also factory reset with no success.

After many hours of troubleshooting I noticed that i had this issue with a Samyang lens and also with a 7Artisans lens, both manual with non electronic contacts. Today i am shooting the whole day with my Fuji 18-55 and also with my Fuji 55-230 and everything is ok, so this could probably be a bug/incompatibility with non-Fuji lenses. However needs more testing to confirm

im mostly late to this topic but i was experiencing the same thing.it turns out debris consisting of dust and other tiny things where causing the issue .the front dial is not weather sealed and dust gets in there .i had to blast it with contact cleaner and that did the job for me .before it was either not increasing the iso only decreased it or it woul jump backwards randomly when in picture view mode when trying to go back on the viewer. it fixed it for me i thought it was software related or just a bad dial.it turns out it was just dust.

      That is the way its designed - if you want to access files on the camera card you will need to transfer them to a computer

      Will Fujifilm Ever Fix the Tethering Lockout Issue on the GFX 100S? I've been a commercial photographer for 15 years and an early GFX system adopter, starting with the GFX 50S and now using the GFX 100S as my main camera. I work on-site with clients, and they stand behind my laptop with live view open, making adjustments to the scene. At the same time, I need to be adjusting exposure and testing flash levels from behind the camera. The current system forces me to choose between live view or controlling my camera. Once live view is open, the camera is completely locked out. My clients take priority, but that means I can't change exposure settings or test flash levels while live view is running. The only option is to pull out the cable, which cuts off live view for my clients. I also can't trigger the shutter with live view open, so I have to completely stop live view just to set my flash exposures. I've been waiting for YEARS for this to be fixed, and I’m starting to lose hope. Capture One 16 now has dual control for other Fujifilm models (like the X-H2, X-T5, and GFX-100II), allowing control from both the software and the camera. But why is this only available for the GFX-100II? It's frustrating to see this implemented for a new $7500 camera while this long-standing issue on older models remains ignored. I am heavily invested in GFX, and the 100S with a 50S backup is perfect for me. I absolutely do not need to spend $7500 on the GFX 100II—especially not just to get this fundamental feature I've been waiting for so long. Nikon, Canon, and Sony don’t have this problem—this is a Fujifilm-specific issue, and it feels like something that could be resolved with a firmware update. Is anyone else having this issue? Does Fujifilm ever plan to address this in a future update? Honestly, I’m insulted that Fujifilm would introduce such an essential feature only for their new system instead of fixing what should have been addressed long ago. It feels like they're trying to push me to buy a new camera to get something that should have been available through a simple update.  This should be a firmware update, and it is long overdue. I feel like I'm the only user out there that has this need. It feels like Fujifilm will just move on and never implement it for cameras like the 100S. It drives me crazy on every shoot. I need this firmware update! Has anyone heard anything about this, or is there any hope of it being fixed? Will Fuji ever fix the camera lockout issue with live view on the GFX 100S and other GFX cameras?

      I am having this same problem.  I must have set something wrong, but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is!
