There is a very clear distinction between violating civil liberties and just being rude on an Internet forum. I'm sure the "internet scholars" could educate us all on the true bedrock issues of our decaying society, but alas, that's another forum!

I unintentionally scratched the LCD on my X100T by throwing it on top of my 50-140 in my Pelican.  If I can only turn back time to correct my stupidity
 
That being said, it's his camera and his choice to do what he wants.  I like the look of a brassed camera....Leica buyers will pay a premium for a celebrity endorsed brassed camera....which is crazy to me!

1. Clearly, you're an artist.
2. It's yours to do with what you will.
3. Cradling, polishing, preserving your camera is the expected, default behavior.
4. I think it's really cool—definitely unique.
 
I think the notion that dents and scratches are "earned" is amusing.

Make sure to apply multiple scratches to the lens in order to also get a nice organic vintage look on the images themselves.

That's the great idea for travel use.
More scratches = less chances to be stolen.

Writing this with a smile I thank everyone of you for their non sugar coated comments on my latest "crazy act".
Pierre comments is no surprise and understandable , my dad actually act the same way, slapping on my 40 years old head when he saw what I did.
But let me explain why I did it beside the fact that I like to do it. I'm a modeler, scale car modeler that is. Replicate the old worn out look of old cars on to 1/10 scale. When I was young I was fascinated with old cameras especially those from war photographers. So yes you're right that what I did is not real and fake but I know for sure being just a enthusiasts, my gear won't look like that even when I'm dead. So I replicated to my taste. I loved I even more now and it's a keeper.
Digital cameras comes and goes, I'm not destroying it just cosmetic enhancements, every scratch I have made is well thought and calculated.
Writing this is by no means to win Pierre or anybody over to like what I did. You don't like? Me happy Meaning there won't be any other like mine.

I have a soft spot for "well used" camera gears so after my X70 got it first "scratch"... Well now you know what happens next.
