  1. Maybe, but I have been using Fujifilm cameras since x100s came out, so I know how they work, and when both x100t and x70 nailed the focus, why would both the x-t1 and x-pro2 fail at the same time with two different lenses?
  2. So two different camera models and two different lenses broken? I think not :-) And to repeat myself once more: My hand was at least 40 cm's away from both lenses, and the x100t and x70 nailed same test.
  3. It was of when the seller handed med the camera, so I adjusted it, but still, both the x-pro2 and x-t1 with both of the 35mm lenses had the issue, and the x100t and x70 had no issues at all. Really strange!
  4. Didn't the x-pro2 2 match the initial price of the x-pro1? If so, why would the x-t2 be priced higher than the x-t1? I mean the x-pro2 got WR and new tech. The x-t2 "only" gets new tech.
  5. The store had plenty of light sources in the ceiling and I tried focusing on my hand in many different spots in the store. So I would say it was a mixture of back and front lit. I wish I could have grapped some shots for you guys to see. If it wasn't for my memory of how my x100t focuses I would never have done the test in the store. It is just the way I always try out a cameras AF. Going from distance to close focus. So I was really surprised that the x100t under the same conditions nailed my usual none scientific test method and the two cameras which supposedly blows the x100t's AF out of the water didn't.
  6. As I wrote, I shot in single AF mode, and by that I mean single shot, not continuous :-) I also shot in MS mode. Face detection was off. Both cameras did fine when focusing on all the other stuff in the store, both fast and accaurate, but when when holding my hand in front of the camera, at a distance both cameras should be able to focus upon perfectly fine, none of the cameras could focus at all. They seemed content with a blurry hand :-)
  7. Being used to the x100t and the way its auto focus works, I was surprised to see how bad the x-t1 and x-pro2 with the xf 35mm f1.4 and xf 35mm f2.0 performs in comparison. I went to a store today, because I am keen on buying the coming x-t2. So thought a look at the x-t1 and x-pro2 would be a good indicator of what to expect. Both cameras set to zone focus, single AF, focus priority and with high performance on - and latest firmware! No matter if I tried the new or the old 35mm lens model I have never experienced so many focus locks (green squares) on subjects that were severly out of focus. I mean the subject was a blurred mess and still I got the AF confirmation sound and green squares. I litteraly never had this issue on my x100t. Either the x100t got the focus right or it didn't (started hunting). It never pretended to have it when it didn't. Also when focusing on something a couple of meters away (where the x-t1 and x-pro2 focused perfectly) and then holding my hand like 40 cm's in front of the lenses (well beyond both lenses close focusing distance) the x100t (and x70, I tested with that camera to) just locked on my hand perfectly. The x-t1 and x-pro2 with both 35mm lenses tested simply gave up. Or that is to say, both cameras claimed to have focused on my hand, but none of them did. My hand was just a blur. How come two high end cameras can't even focus on my hand in a well lit room when the x100t (and x70) just nails it? It can't be camera duds as I tried both an old and a new model as well as old and new lens. And it can't be my photography skills as the fixed lens models had no problems at all. I know a hand is maybe not the most contrasty subject, but still It was held infront of a bright wall, so the cameras shouldn't fail so miserably. What are your thoughts and experience? And please, keep a nice tone :-)
  8. My guess is that we will see the x-t2 in the beginning of August - taking into account the rumored relase dates and adding the earthquake delay. And... According to a guy I met who claimed he actually had his hands on an x-t2 claims that it is substantially bigger than the x-t1. If that is true, and if it is because of the added 4K video, I think it is sad. The x-t1 has such a perfect size. He also claimed that the prize tag will be closer to the x-pro2's than the launch prize of the x-t1, which is also sad. I hope he is wrong about all that he told me :-)
  9. Your tone is offensive, but I will reply none the less. - Yes of course you can counteract shaky images. That is not my point. My point is that you are less prone to shaky images with fewer MP. - Of course there is. More mega pixels means more for the processor to handle. More surface to scan for a subject, face, eye etc. - Where can you get an UHS-II card for 20 dollars? Not where I live, an judging by the x-pro2 reviews, you need that to take full advantage of the camera. AND, my list is not a deal breaker list. Simply a listing of pros and cons of more megapixels.
  10. A few pros and cons Some of the things that "worry" me about the x-t2's higher pixel count: More pixels, means more shaky images. I still remember going from Nikon D50 with 6MP to D90 with 12MP. I had to get used to holding the camera more still. More pixels means less impressive high iso improvements from the x-t1. If they kept it at 16MP, which is more than enough for most people/prints, with the new processor the high iso performance would theoretically be otherworldly. More pixels require more processor power. The AF will suffer. Think of the AF speed we theoretically would get with 16MP and the new processor. We are gonna need a bigger SD card. 24MP just takes up more space. Some of the things I look forward to about the x-t2's higher pixel count: More pixels means more details. Fujinons excellent lenses will shine even more. More pixels means bigger prints and better cropping options So, mostly cons. Can you help me find more pros?
  11. Not a problem, as long as it is available on the 14th of July ;-)
  12. Yeah, I noticed them to, but could not make anything from them :-)
  13. Please elaborate :-)
  14. Thanks Patrick, but not much new to see, or am I missing something? It does look like it has kept the size of x-t1 and that is a good thing in my book. I hope a video leak means release is imminent as I have sold my x100t and now don't have a camera for this summer :-/
  15. The difference should be smaller as the x-t1 already has WR, where as the x.pro1 did not. My guess is the knobs will be 2 dotted rows taller and the grib will be a little more pronounced.
  16. They are two dotted rows taller than on the x-t1
  17. I sure hope they will make it adjustable via firmware and that we will not see the same issue with the x-t2
  18. Ok, so standard is what used to be High Performance ON, I guess.
  19. Thanks Patrick! Can't wait to hear more about specs. And price!
  20. As opposed to Fujifilm's usual High Performance mode on/off the x-pro 2 now has three modes. Economy, standard and high performance. But what is what compared to the old settings? Is economy even more economic than when High Performance is set to off on e.g. the x-t1? And what does standard compare to?
  21. But is the EVF lag so much slower than when a D-SLR lifts it mirror? There is a black out there as well.
  22. How much improved is the x-pro2 on this matter?
