hehe, great shots Milano. I'd be using it a lot for shooting historical buildings, so the fisheye effect would probably be mostly there all the time. I think I'm deciding towards the 12mm.

I've been thinking the same thing. I'm looking for a wide lens and was thinking about the 14mm. Then I decided to buy the 18mm f2 and I'm almost deciding on the Samyang 12mm. I'm discussing getting either the 8mm fisheye or the 12mm from samyang, in another post. Great story! I guess I'm deciding towards the 12mm, and then see, as you said, why I would need an 8mm fisheye. I'm not so sure I like the fisheye effect that much.

Thank you all for the valuable anwers. I guess defishing would be easy, but a lot of work. It does make a good point that you can defish, but in the end, there might be limitations I think. Unfortunatelly my budget will only alow me to buy one of them. I forgot to mention that I recently purchased the xf 18mm which is wide, but not as wide as the 12 or the 8mm. So, would the 12mm be more of the same in relationship with the 18mm (I'm guessing no) and then it would make sense to get the fisheye. I'll just keep on looking at images to see if I like the fisheye effect enough to use it a lot if I get it. Thanks again!!

So, I'm in the following dilemma. Should I buy the Samyang/Rokinon 8mm or the 12mm lens? I'd like to have a wide angle lens. I might be going to Europe in September and having a very wide lens will be great to shoot historical buildings, inside churches, etc. Now, I don't know if I should get the fisheye or the non fisheye. I've read many reviews and both lenses are good, but if I get the fisheye, would it just sit in my bag once I come back? Please help with your thoughts. If you can also share images it would be nice. Thanks!

I was trying this technique for street photography I saw on youtube where you pretend to fix the camera or something to drive away the subject's attention while grabbing the shot. So, sometimes they actually look at you but do not realize you were taking a photo. I guess this one turned out alright. The thing is that you shoot with the camera hanging around your neck and can't really point it properly, so, it takes practice. This was the first day of trying it. Hi Phil, I just got this lens last week. Well, I bought it, but I'm still waiting for someone to bring it to me. I live in Brazil and sent it to a friend's house in Florida. I could not resist the 270 dollars price it was selling for at the digitalrev web store. Anyway. I was aiming to buy the 14mm but ended up deciding upon buying the 18mm (which upon analysing my past shots is one focal lenght I use a lot) and another lens. Both would be the same price as only the 14mm. Great images you have there. I can't wait to get my hands on it and start shooting people, street and so on. Now I have to decide if I'll get the Samyang 12mm or the 8mm fisheye to have something wider. Thanks for the post! I've requested to follow you on instagram, but, if you have mostly family photos which you would not like to share..no worries.

I use a Lowepro Messenger 100 for when I want to carry a few more stuff, but I feel sometimes it does not fit enough stuff. I can fit in it the Fuji X-E2 with maybe the 35mm mounted, on the side I can fit the 60mm or the XC 50-230mm and in the front pouch, with the extra batteries and a few more things I can fit in also the 27mm. I've also been able to fit the X-E2, 60mm, 27mm, 35mm and the XC 50-230 but, without the lens hoods monted on any of them. You can also put the X-E2 with the 18-55 and the 60 and 35 for example. It has 2 main compartments, and sometimes when carrying more lens I'd think the 150 would leave more space to put all of them. I should take some photos to show the configurations, but I don't have that now, sorry. When I want to shoot street and want to take just the camera with one lens, I use the Black Rapid Snapr 35. It fits the X-E2 with either the 27mm or the 35mm, without the hood. And a couple of batteries on one side and a small joby tripod micro 250 on the other side. I'll take photos later to share.
