    It was a crowded house with no where to get a decent photo taken. Was able to use a bed room with window light and a closet door for a background.

    Thank you - That was the problem. I made some changes after doing the firmware update and that was one of them.

    I seem to have lost the focus box in the view finder. I can hear the focus beep confirmation but no box. If I select the box to resize it or move it it is there. On the LSD it is normal and working. I did do a firmware update but don't remember if it occurred then as I was testing out a new lens.

    Great shots but why do you have the OIS in the off position? I have taken many sports photos with it on with excellent results.I use the 55-200 mm lens.

    I have been reading many posts on various triggers being used for off camera flash,but none on using the flash that came with the XT-1 in commander mode.I have tried it and it seems to work fine. What are your findings? I am currently using a Yongnuo YN568 EX flash.

    An excellent article. I am also a long time user of Fuji going back to the late 60's. The problem is most of us " want it all " and Fuji seems to be trying to do that. But it can't be done with this new type of camera. Yet! I was probable the first to purchase the XT-1 because it was retro.
