  1. I like the idea of two bodies - I would suggest the X-T1 with the 18-135 which would serve for most of your shots, but add the X-T10 and a 27mm for street shooting and having a camera with you at all times as it is nearly a pocket package. I checked Adorama prices and it comes to $3147 - but that didn't seem to have any deal prices and there are usually some discount prices available. But that gives you two bodies (a spare will be a good thing) and an all around lens and a street photography lens.
  2. typeronin - A great small bag for an XT-1 and 2-3 lenses and other basic necessities is the ThinkTank Retrospective. Besides my Thinktank backpack (above), I have the Retrospective 7 which would fit you needs perfectly. It will also fit an iPad. A little smaller version, the Retrospective 5 might fill your needs as well. http://www.thinktankphoto.com/products/retrospective-7-pinestone.aspx
  3. This is the ThinkTank Streetwalker Harddrive backpack. I originally purchased it for my Nikon equipment which I have since sold - and repacked it with my Fuji gear. It holds virtually everything for travel or on site shoots, including X-T1 with 50-140, second camera (either my X100 or my XE-2 with 27mm), my other lenses including 56mm, 55-200, 14mm and 18-50, my 3Legging Thing Brian and my Lee Seven5 filter system. There are additional pockets on the inside flap for batteries and other gear, plus outside pockets on the front and both sides, with facility to hold a tripod on the outside of the pack, but I like being able to have it inside as it meets carry-on dimensions that way.

  5. I love Thinktank products, both their bags and backpacks. They have a new backpack, the Urban Approach 15 which is designed for mirrorless cameras. I personally have the Streetwalker which I used for my Nikon equipment, but having sold most of it, it now contains my X-T1, XE2, 14mm, 27mm, 18-55 zoom, 56mm, 55-200 and my new 50-140, along with my 3 Legged Thing Brian. It can also carry a laptop and has pockets for various accessories and a tripod carrier. Here is a link to the Urban Approach: http://www.thinktankphoto.com/products/urban-approach-15-backpack.aspx
  6. Brute force eventually got it correctly placed and repeated efforts have made it a bit easier - but it was enough force that I was worried something might break on the hood at the time.
  7. I am a retired photojournalist and have traded in my Nikons for the Fuji X-T1. While I no longer regularly shoot sports, I have shot both high school football and basketball with the X-T1 and the 55-200 lens with excellent results and the high ISO capabilities of the camera were great for the evening football and available light at the state BKB tourney.
  8. Vman - That's how I start, just like all my other Fuji lenses, but it locks up at a 1/8th turn, with the hood at a wonky angle.
  9. I recently received my XF 50-140mm lens. The lens hood DOES NOT twist all the way on properly. It only goes about half way, leaving the leaves of the hood askew (see photo). I have tried several times. It is extremely tight and will not fully twist on. I fear this may cause vignetting when using the hood. Anyone else have the problem? Would Fuji replace the hood?
