    Hi X-shooters,

I had the chance to shoot the new Fujifilm XF23mm f2 lens, which was announced today. Those interested can check out my review here: http://bjornmoerman.blogspot.ae/2016/08/first-look-fujifilm-xf23mm-f2-r-wr.html

I use a Think Tank City Walker 10.
Great bag.  Light, durable, plenty of pockets.
Holds my X-T1 w/dovetail grip, 18-55, 55-200, 14, and 23mm lenses.  Tabletop tripod, flash, extra batteries, cards, sketchbook, pens/pencils, tablet, phone, etc. - no problem.

It has the two things I need in any shoulder bag - the ability to stand on its own when on the ground and, the most important for me, side pockets that can hold a water bottle or be a temporary, quick access spot for lenses while shooting.

    16, 23 and 56. It's the perfect to-go choice for me.

This is my final version (I think) of a custom grip for the Fuji X-T10. It incorporates an electronic shutter release connected to the USB port rather than a mechanical connection. Same functionality as the on camera shutter release but more comfortable with long lenses.

Its the close focus distance that intrigues me which will open a whole new area of creativity. I have seen some great examples taken with this lens.

I too think that the 12, 23 and 56 is a good spread, so I think that I will go for the 23mm. It'll be the "safeties" choice.

the 16 also has closer focusing and can function as something of a macro lens... works great for flowers for example.

For the OP... I'd likely get the 23... the 12, 23 and 56 is a nice spread.

I love the 16... so would have a hard time leaving it behind. :-)

As I've mentioned before here there are two lenses that are my "never leave home without".  They are the 18-55, and my 16 1.4  The 16 is truly amazing.  Fantastic bokeh and shallow DOF, can work wonders as a make shift macro, lovely wide, balances nicely on myX-T1,  And just FEELS GOOD.

I have many other lenses, but those two are my staple lenses.  Happy Travels

    100% agree!

On my XP1, using power save mode, I generally get an extra 200+ shots per battery.

I'll end up writing about this on my X-Pro1 site, but IMO for general 'walk about' photography, I don't need the extra speed, and the extra life is nice.

Of course, if I need the speed (sic) of the XP1, I just turn power save mode off

I'm still excited about a improved capacity battery through

It's about the only thing I miss from the DSLR days... battery life... yes, yes I know - batts are small, cheap and easy to carry on MILC, but there's something nice about having a longer battery life!

Want to know another inconsequential, yet pleasing aspect of using power save mode on the XP1?

When the battery gague drops to "60%" (ie only 2 bars remaining) it means you have about 150 shots left, rather than about 30 !!!!

Good to hear that they may be improving the batteries, but I have managed over 600 shots with my X-Pro1 on a single battery several times. Of course you need to do things like switching off the LCD screen, and switch off the camera when possible between shots!

i do a lot of different photography and really enjoy all of them but my secret love is still landscape photography.
as a former nikon user (still using it sometimes) i wasn´t completely sure about the landscape capabilities of the xtrans sensors. i read a lot about it and wasn´t aware, until a few days ago, that many users don´t like the rendering for landscapes.
anyway i decided to buy a zeiss 12mm and adapt my 100mm filter system to it. and it works fine. let me know your experience for landscape. i´m actually using the x-e2 with xf23, zeiss touit 12mm, 55-200 & 18-55. i´m now considering a x-t1 because of tilt screen and weather sealing...

    sample with the 12mm lens

I thought Fuji wants to keep X-T10 as small as possible. And it maybe their marketing strategy: if you need a grip, go for X-T1

As far as I know, Fuji X-T10 is a very popular and well-praised camera. But one of the most important and useful thing for any digital camera - battery grip isn't yet available for this camera while it is even available for X-T1. What a shame!!! What do u say friends?what can be done to give it a life?
