  1. I have just tested Iridient Developer vs Lightroom and Capture One Pro and I must say that the result from iridient is amazing. It is sharper, cleaner and overall better than both. I am declaring my opinion because before I have tried this I was really curious about the results. I hope they can stand against the giants like Adobe. Having said that I will go ahead and buy it to support them.
  2. When I first got the 35mm I was a bit worried that it might be a bit too tight fov for me but I found out that it suits me really well. I love the lens and am absolutely happy with what I am making with it.
  3. I am using 35mm f/2 WR and it is an amazing lens. Very sharp, very fast, small and quiet.
  4. So I have got my first Fuji X camera and it is very exciting. I know that the video is not the strong suit of the Fuji X cameras but I would like to know more about the experiences of others who did shoot some video footage on the Fuji X cameras. What are the biggest issues ? Why people don't like or recommend Fuji X for video work ? And what would be your advices regarding shooting video on Fuji X system ? Many thanks.
  5. Very well written and beautiful portaits ! Thank you for sharing.
  6. Thank you all very much for your help. After careful consideration I have decided to go with the xf35 f/2 lens. Since this would be my first x-system and I have found a very good deal on Adorama for X-E2 as kit I have ordered the 18-55 kit plus the 35mm. Let's see where this takes me in the future. Thank you all very much.
  7. Thank you all very much for your responses. It helps immensely. I really find the 23mm lens the closest to my liking but it is a bit too expensive for me at this point. I consider the 27mm as an alternative to it since it is closer by focal length and much cheaper. I kinda feel like I might have a harder time with 35mm but it is so popular as everyday lens and the f/2 version is within my budget. I thought shooting everything was clear enough. I will shoot all subjects with one single prime lens. I know that choosing an all round lens won't give me the results of a specialized focal length, but that's what I'm looking for, jack of all trades, master of none kind of lens. The reason is among the jack of all trades type of lenses these two were pretty much the only ones that were within my budged at this point. Thank you very much for pointing me to the web app it is very helpful in my case.
  8. Thank you very much for your response. Did you pick up the 2.0 or 1.4 version of the 35mm ? Would you mind briefly sharing your experience with it please ?
  9. Hi guys, I will soon purchase my first x system. I used dslr and micro 4/3 systems previously. I am just torn between the 27mm and 35mm fuji lenses. I have no specific purpose. I just want to have a single prime on my camera and shoot everything with it for a long time (Maybe a whole year). I am specifically looking at the primes and not considering a zoom lens at this point. If you would share your opinions with me to help me out choose my first fuji prime I would really appreciate it. Thank you
