  1. Ouch. That makea it difficult to focus on the face without cutting of the legs when doing cont. focus
  2. Finally got my Xpro1 today, and been shooting just for short while. Enjoying the OVF and really prefer it to the EVF which I find ugly, small, dark and lagging. I guess my experience would be different if I had a huge evf like the X-T1. I remember when I had the x100s 3 years ago, I only shot with the EVF for some reason. Have no problem with the parallax error so far. I only got a 18mm to try it on so far, but I don't find it frustrating, I have corrected af frame on, and I find it pretty easy to anticipate where the focus point is going to move to. Beautiful camera, beautiful jpegs! Test shot of my son, straight out of cam, no editing except resizing. One stupid simple question. How do I move the af point when I shoot continues focus?
  3. I learned about the correct af frame on this very helpful page http://vopoku.com/fujifilm-ovf-focusing/
  4. Looks legit.....lol
  5. I heard that this mini evf slows down the af speed though.
  6. Still waiting for my XPRO1 body to arrive but I bought this lens today. This thing is tiny, even smaller than the Canon 24 pancake I used to have
  7. Thanks! Never had problems in the past with my canon to get the exposure right without reading the histogram so Im not too worried
  8. Oh well. I bought a used xpro1 that should arrive here any day. If I end up loving the OVF, I'll get the Xpro2. If not. Then I'll get the XT2 when it arrived
  9. I just made a deal for used Xpro1 which my plan is to use until the XT2 is released (unless I fall in love with the OVF and decide to get the XPRO2). I guess earliest relastic expected release is Photokina 2016? Anyway, do you think the XT2 will be be sold as a kit with the 35 f/2 lens? If so I'll just get the 18 f/2 and 60 f/2.4 for now to my XPRO1.
  10. I decided to get a used Xpro1. Should have it before Friday. I figure I'll sell it in Sept/Oct orso when I expect the X-T2 to be out. I might sell it for 100 bucks less orso but it will be worth it since I don't have a camera at all now (sold my canon gear 2 months ago). If I enjoy the OVF a lot, I will get the XPRO2 instead. Will be interesting to see. But I think the bigger EVF and the flipscreen will be more suited for me. Is 3.50 the latest firmware on the XPRO1 and the only firmware I need to update to?
  11. As someone as myself who enjoys street photography I'm starting to get more and more interested in the Xpro2 instead of waiting for the XT2 with its huge EVF (already existing in the X-T1). Kinda difficult to decide right now. If I get the Xpro2 I just hope I will master and enjoy the OVF and feel it's worth the trade off of bigger EVF and flip out screen. I wonder if the XPRo series are less attention drawing than the XT series with their SLR form which on the other hand are slightly smaller.
  12. Terrific. Just curious, did you use ovf to anticipate?
  13. If X-T2 gets released in Summer, I'll be a happy man
  14. Would like to know this as well
  15. Would like to know this as well
  16. So the X-T2 will likely be bigger than X-Pro2 to be able to handle 4k without overheating?
  17. I'm prolly getting a used xpro1 for now and sell it when the XT1 comes out
  18. Argh, still torn. Wait for the X-T2 and miss a whole summer of shooting or get the X-Pro 2? After doing a lot of research I now understand some of the benefit of the OVF and the rangefinder body *Being able to see outside the frame / being able to anticipate things coming in the frame. Will come to use when doing street photography *Having one eye free & half of face = easier to communicate with the subject without removing the eye from the viewfinder. Thinking this will come to a lot of use when I'm taking pics of my kid *No lag. Not sure how much the new 85fps evf lags though. Maybe nothing? Still, this should be a benefit when doing action shots. Like when my kid is running and jumping around *Everything in focus vs the EVF which can help when shooting wide open and composing Then again, I guess it needs to be experienced. Would love to hear from all you X-Pro 2 users regarding your experience with the OVF
  19. I'm planning of just getting the 18 f/2, 35 f/2 and 56 f/1.2.
  20. Are you not gonna regrett it when the X-T2 comes out?
  21. Not that scarred of the the OVF anymore. I read a lot regarding it and I think I would master it fairly quickly. I'm just not sure it's worth paying extra for the OVF (vs getting X-T1 or X-T2 with bigger EVF).
  22. Once you master it, I guess it's worth the learning curve? Thinking of getting a x-pro 1 and try it out.
  23. Having 2 more blades than the 56, does this means the 60 produces smoother bookeh than the 56?
  24. So both the focus box AND the frameline moves when pressing the shutter half down?
  25. Kinda sucks paying that much and then have to do an extra steo before taking the shot
